Hello and Welcome. It's time to join me for Scavenger Hunt Sunday over on Ashley's blog, Ramblings and Photo's.
This week the prompts were: Orange or Pink, Faceless (think Selfie) portrait, View from the Top, Cozy and Stacked.
I did use a couple of archived shots this week due to just not having enough time to look for the prompts. Plus this evening I quickly helped Coleen get her photo's ready for the hunt as well. She took all the pictures and I help her get them ready to go on her blog and type up what she wants me to say about them.
So let's get started:
Orange:
The trees have rapidly been changing colors the past couple of weeks and I've been in heaven driving around town to look at them and of course photograph a few of them. These were trees on the Whitman College Campus. I shot this out the window of the car as my daughter was driving by but I think it turned out pretty good and the colors are just fabulous.
Faceless Portrait
(Selfie) - I hate doing this kind of shot. First I don't have a Tripod so it makes it kind of difficult to find the right angle etc..and get the timer set. Anyway enough griping. I like how this turned out. It's me (The Crazy Cat Lady) holding one of her cats.
View from the Top: This is one of the Archived photo's but I like it and it's never been posted so this is what you get.
We took a drive to the top of Scenic Loop a couple of weeks ago and spotted this doe and her fawn (which had already jumped across the road) and I manged to get this picture of her. You can see the road below which was where we started out before heading up the Scenic Loop road. - Coleen also has a picture from up on top featured on her blog.
Cozy: I caught all the cats sleeping the other morning in various places in the living room and kitchen so I took pictures of all of them and created this Cozy little collage of them because they just looked so....Cozy!
Stacked: The last of my archived shots:
One of the statues in town. Look at those silly chickens and eggs that are "stacked" on top of each other. Makes me laugh.
Well that's it for this weeks hunt. Next week the prompts are one's that I sent to Ashley so now I've really got to get with the program and find some great pictures for the prompts which will be:
Pattern(s), Machine,
Signs or Logos, Rocks/Stones and Sparkle.
Have fun hunting!
Nice shots, Ida! I love the fall colors and the deer is great!
ReplyDeleteThe stacked chickens really made me laugh this morning. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat group of shots (archived or not) Love your cozy collage of cats! And such a pretty autumn view of the trees.
ReplyDeleteYour cats look VERY cozy. And I love the stacked picture. :) Great job on the self portrait, too!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the deer. You did a great job editing that photo. It could be used by nature lovers for a christmas photo. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! The view from the top with the deer is stunning! The statue is pretty awesome, too!
ReplyDeletelook at the surprise fawn shot! cool
ReplyDeleteI chose my cat as cozy too. Crazy cat lady, that's funny. 1 cat=cat owner, 2 cats=cat owner, 3 or more cats=crazy cat lady. I saw that on Facebook and it made me laugh. My fave is that beautiful tree.
ReplyDeleteMy attempts at a self portrait, especially with cat in hand, fair far worse - nicely done. Got a chuckle out of the stacked and enjoyed the cozy shots.
ReplyDeletestacked - such fun. isn't there a children's picture storybook that has these same animals stacked?
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, Ida! I like your orange shot and your faceless portrait. Sweet cozy kittens.
ReplyDeleteGreat set this week. I love your selfie. Such a sweet furry friend, and cozy is perfect for this cue. That was a lovely shot of the mule deer. Have a great week.

ReplyDeleteI love the fall colors and all the cats this week!
ReplyDeleteWhen I read the prompts for next week I thought, "these are really neat." I wondered who had sent the list. It was you! The prompts are great. I can't wait to get out there and get them. You are such a great grandma helping Coleen. Her post was really cute!

ReplyDeleteWow the colors in that first shot are so vibrant! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Autumn shot first up, lovely colours.
ReplyDeleteLovely Ida! The tree shot should be printed and on the wall!!
ReplyDeleteDelicious photos. Great colors in the first, all attract me.
ReplyDeleteOh, those cozy cats! :) Love your choices, Ida...and your new header is so great.
ReplyDeleteSome interesting shots in your post. That is one crazy chicken and egg statue! I like all the shots of the cats curled up (they sleep in such odd, uncomfortable looking positions, don't they?) and the picture of fall leaves. This is certainly a colorful time of year!
ReplyDeleteIda, great set of images! I love the funny stacked eggs and chickens. Those fall colors in the first one are amazing! Our leaves are just beginning to turn.
ReplyDeleteHi Ida! Thanks for stopping by. I know, the troll takes me to a new happy place. It belongs to my boyfriend...
