Random Thoughts With an Orange Twist

Yippee it's Friday!  -  What a week it's been. I feel like I've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.  So many things going on and just not enough time to get them done.  But enough of that.

Let's get started by joining in on the fun of Random 5 Friday hosted by Nancy at A Rural Journal.  I'll also be participating with Maria from Life's Sweet and Spices for Orange You Glad It's Friday.  Hence all photos today will have orange in them.

Random Thought # 1:  I want a "clone of myself"...That way I could be two places at once and get twice as much done!

(Coleen and Pixie enjoying colorful Fall Foliage)

Random Thought # 2:  Weeding is hard work!  I started clearing out the flower beds this week in hopes of getting them ready to plant all the new bulbs that I bought.  Still not finished because to many other things keep coming up.

(Straw flowers blooming at the Yogurt Shop)

Random Thought #3:  Bowling is an aggravating game.  This week I totally "stunk" and had the lowest game and series that I've had in quite some time.  I'm not sure what's going on but I am about ready to throw my ball in the garbage can.  Perhaps I should spray paint it orange and use if for a Halloween decoration.  -  We took a little tour around town the other day and spotted some fun decorations.  Here is a shot of some of them.

Random Thought #4:  Fall is my favorite season - Okay so this isn't so much a random thought as it is a Random Fact but when you get to see stuff like these leaves can you blame me for loving this time of year.

Random Thought #5: We took in the Corn Maze this year.  After 2 years of Coleen being to sick to go and the weather being nasty we finally made it back.  Only took us about an hour to get through the maze.  (Sorry for the quality of the photo but I had my other camera with me and it was dark out so this is the best I could do.)

That's it for me.  Thank you for stopping by.  -  I also want to thank all my new followers and of course all my followers.  You make my day brighter when you stop by.

  1. Ida, wonderful photo of your little girl and dog under the canopy of orange and golden leaves! So pretty. I love fall, too. People seem to get so creative with decorations, and there's so much to see. Hope you get some down time this weekend!

  3. wonderful oranges all through. Your decorated porch photo reminded me that during the time I/we lived in Saudi on compounds the Americans were SOOOO for decorating all holidays, it was such a pleasure to see, they were generous throughout the year with keeping their traditions from home alive...fun five with great photos.

  13. The corn maze sounds like fun - I'm happy you were able to make it this year. Fall is May favorite season, also. Bowling is a frustrating sport, I've never been very good at it, but I love it all the same. It's fun!

  18. My favorite picture is Coleen and Pixie! So cute! So glad that you went to the corm maze!
Don't give up on bowling. Don't be so hard on yourself, Ida. Maybe you just need a little break. When I try to make something (card, toy) and it doesn't go well, I just walk away and come back later.
Hope all is well with you my friend!

  19. Really nice portrait shot of Coleen and Pixie!
I so wish I could clone myself as well. That me could do the mundane and I could the fun things.
