Songoraphy (Look Out Any Window) and Scavenger Hunt Sunday - October 13, 2013

Welcome -  Today I'm linking up once again for both,  Songography & Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  - Click to Enlarge all photos.

Please join me for SONGOGRAPHY:  Brought to you by Kathy from You'll Shoot Your Eye Out.
This weeks song:  Look Out Any Window - Bruce Hornsby.

This was a rather "deep" song which I'm sure could be interpreted in a number of ways.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do for this song as I hadn't listened to the lyrics or looked them up all week long.  Once I did I knew I had the perfect photo for one of the lines in the song.

There's a man workin' in a field
See's the rain and it's burning
He's saying this can't be real
Oh as he sees the color of the fields turning

Look out any window
Look out any open door
Look out any window
See what's going on in the world around you

This was a view we happened upon on a little drive we took on Thursday afternoon.  -  To see a little more of the world around me check out my SHS photo's below as well.

Now it's time to join Ashley for SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY

This weeks prompts were:  M is for..., What You Saw Today, Corner, Pink, and Hands.

M IS FOR...Mountains.  In this case,  The Blue Mountains - Part of the view from Scenic Loop.

WHAT YOU SAW TODAY:  Well I actually saw it on Friday.  I was complaining the other day when I saw Deanna's (Snippets from Springdale) lovely butterfly photo how I am never able to capture butterflies.  Well I was out with Coleen and her friend for Yogurt on Friday and we were sitting outside when look what landed on some nearby flowers and I Had my camera with me!  -  I learned this is a Red Admiral butterfly.  Isn't it gorgeous.

CORNER:  This is a bit of a stretch but just around the corner from our house there are these stunning Flame Maple trees and here is a shot of some of the leaves  of the tree - Place strategically in the corner of the photo too.

PINK: - I have 2 for this prompt.  One is more subtle with the pink then the other but I like them both so you get both of them.

Pink#1 - There is an apartment building across the street from the library that has these Hot Pink Chairs out on a little balcony and below a Hot Pink Door with a Sparkly Pink heart.  -  Notice the pink flowers in the planter too.

Pink#2 - Some Pink Mums we spotted while driving around looking for Halloween decorations.

HANDS: Finally I couldn't pass up using this photo of my niece and her new hubby's hands as they exchange rings at their wedding 3 weeks ago.

That's it for this week.  Please stop by both Kathy and Ashley's blogs and check out the other participants entries.  -  Have a great week.

  22. Gorgeous shot of the land being worked on. Farming really resonates with me as I so value those plots of soil. I was so dismayed when years ago my husband's father sold his dad's farm. Yes, he had to lease it as he didn't follow in his dad's footsteps but it breaks my heart to know that it no longer is in the family. Let alone what the price per acre is today!

  25. Gorgeous photos! Loved your 1st "pink" shot in particular, and I'm jealous of your vibrant fall colors. We're still pretty green around here (and our trees in our yard (both of them--ha) are typically the last ones to change color in our neighborhood.
