Good Fences - October 16, 2014

Welcome.  Won't you join me on a tour of fences as we join Theresa from (The Run-a-round Ranch Report) for
GOOD FENCES.

A couple of weeks ago I posted some fence shots taken at Bennington Lake.
You can view that post HERE

Coleen and I went back to the lake again last Thursday while she was on break for school Conferences.  I took more fence shots and thought I'd share them today.

We walked up the trail to that bench that was featured in the previous post.

Here is Coleen sitting on the bench and there is a hint of a barbed wire fence in the background of the shot.

Further up the trail I took these shots.

Coming back down the trail.

Later in another section of the lake I spotted some runners heading towards a small bridge crossing.

I like this shot because of the way they were lined up going down the trail, the guys shirt saying and the fact there are fences in the background.

I caught them just as they started across the bridge - That counts as fencing doesn't it? Edited:  I just noticed that the runner wearing the shirt with the saying is not the same runner that is on the bridge now.  I caught 2 different groups of runners crossing the bridge.

Finally a stand alone shot of the fence railing across the little bridge.

That's it for this edition of Good Fences.  If you stop by Theresa's blog you'll find links to many more great fence shots.  Have fun.

these are just beautiful - a good fence really does prove interesting subject matter - and a good frame.

  20. Isn't it strange how autumn colors are? I LOVE the color of the grasses around her, at the bench -- a perfect straw color. It's just lovely. And then the black and brown seed heads -- just lovely! Very nice shots. I love the muted tones of autumn as things are dying away, combined with the brilliancy of the sky.

  30. As I said before, this is becoming one of my favorite posts. I find myself looking for interesting fences all the time now -- fancy fences, broken down fences. I'm going to have to carry my camera with me more often. Thanks for these inspiring photos!

  31. These are wonderful shots, Ida! The hint of barbed wire fence in the background adds a dreamy mood as Coleen sits so peacefully on the bench. And yes, the bridge railing absolutely counts as fencing. Interesting that two different runners had the same slogan on their shirt.. perhaps a uniform. Anyhow, lovely post with all photos beautifully thought out.
