Willy Nilly Friday 5, Feline Art/Friday.

 Happy Friday!

Tanya (Around Roanoke) is back with WILLY-NILLY FRIDAY FIVE again!

1.  That 1st Day of School must have been tiring.  I found Coleen asleep in my chair about an hour after she got home from school. - I think getting up earlier took it's toll.

2.  We spotted this Bumble Bee drying out it's wings on the bird feeder and Coleen wanted me to take it's picture.  I love how "fuzzy" it is.

3.  One of the last fun things we did before school started was the Mentos and Coke experiment.  Coleen and her friend, Emily had a lot of fun watching the coke explosion after they dropped the Mentos in the bottle.

4.  I've spotted these deer several times in recent weeks.  I sent copies of these photos into our local paper.  They published the first two.  I wanted to share the doe as I think she's just as pretty.  I thought it was neat to have my photos published but they spelt my last name wrong which sort of bummed me out.

5.  Our new little kitten Pepper is getting along great now with all the other cats.  I caught this sweet photo of her sleeping next to our oldest male cat, Harley the other night.

I tell you with 8 cats in the house now we sure go through a lot of cat food!

  9. By now Harley's probably getting used to all the newcomers. It's good to see they're all getting along so well. Your newest sweetie sure is pretty. He looks like a cat we had years ago. His name was Big Cat.

  12. Yes, the first day of school can be tiring. So much to see and do and learn!
With them spelling your name wrong can you just imagine how much more the media of any kind gets wrong? It's scary!!
    Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

  15. Great pictures, Ida. Coleen looks sweet sleeping in the chair. School takes a lot out of you!

The deer are beautiful! Congratulations on the newspaper printing them. Sorry about your name, though. I used to do proofreading. Someone should hsve checked that.

George has taken over our house! The Girls all love him. Kittens have a way. I think it depends a lot on how you act, too. They get lots of love. ❤

  16. What a super collection of photos, Ida. I love the deer ones. They're spectacular. Congratulations on being published. It's a sweet photo of Coleen sleeping. This back to school business is tough after the holidays. Emi is back next week and I am so not looking forward to it. Love the kitten photo too - what a sweetie. All the best for now, Bonny

  18. Good for you getting the pics in the paper. Most papers go to pains to get the name right. I like the pic of the doe. She is really looking at you.

Our son had a sleep adjustment after school started as well.

Glad your new kitten is gaining qcceptance from the other cats.

  24. the most cats I have had is 4--and if I had had the last 4 before I had the first 4, it would never have happened again! I cannot imagine 8! I can't imagine the food and litter bill...much less all the work and the flea treatment! But then, my first cat named Cougar literally had at least a $2000 in him for first one thing and then another.

  28. I love your deer photos, even if they did spell your name wrong! My cat (who is missing at the moment) doesn't eat much cat food as she gorges on baby rabbits (they are a menace here) and mice and rats.

  29. All your furry friends look so cute. I only have 1 male cat and i wonder how it feels to live with 8 cats. I wish i could take a friend for my cat but our flat is barely enough.

  30. Great you sent in those deer pics! Let it roll off your shoulders, dear Ida - they misspell my name, and pronounce it the wrong way all the time. Great pic of your daughter asleep!
