Willy Nilly Friday Five - April 27, 2018

Joining in on WILLY-NILLY FRIDAY FIVE (just a bit late).

It's been a super busy and hectic week.  More on that in a minute.

1.  Remember last week's WNFF Jurrasic Park Car....see post below.  Well they invaded the fair grounds.  Here's one of them trying to eat the Education Building.

2.  Saturday we got a new bed and mattress.  Sunday Speedy the cat got sick.  He ate Easter Grass, Candy wrappers & ribbon.  Had to spend Monday at the Vets doing a $360.00 Barium Study to make sure nothing got stuck in his intestines.  He's fine but the Vet bill over $400 wasn't so much fun.

On the left, Caramel enjoying the new bed.  On the right, Speedy G recovering from his trip to the Vet.

3.  A sure sign of spring around here is when "Woody" the woodpecker returns to peck on the telephone pole next door.

4.  Another sign of spring...When my mom's French Lilac tree blooms and perfumes the air.

5.  Finally on Tuesday Coleen had her knee surgery to repair the tendon in her knee that hold your knee cap in place.  She's doing okay but mastering crutches  has been a challenge for her.

Needless to say between taking care of a sick cat, an 89 year old mother and a kid out of surgery the week hasn't exactly been a barrel of laughs but we are surviving.

Till next time...Have a great day.

Willy-Nilly Friday Five and Feline Friday - April 13, 2018

Welcome!

Once again it's time for WILLY-NILLY FRIDAY FIVE now being hosted by Tom (The Backroads Traveller).

1.  Took Coleen and her friend, Helen to the park the other day.  One of the few days it wasn't raining.  In fact the sun was out and the turtles were taking advantage of that.

2.  I thought we were at our local city park (Pioneer Park) but according to the vehicle parked next to me we may have been at a different park...

3.  As I've mentioned it's rained ALOT here this month. We had a horrible thunder and lightning storm the other night. There was one clap of thunder that sounded like an "explosion" and I told my husband that lightning had to have hit something very close by.  Spotted this the next day & sure enough that is what happened.

Lighting hit this 100+ year old Green Ash tree about a block away from where we live.  It just exploded about 50 feet of the tree into oblivion.

4.  Spotted this truck down the street and thought of Debbie (It's All About Purple) immediately so I stopped and took a picture to share.

Pretty sharp looking and most certainly Purple!

5.  Finally today we can't leave without sharing a photo of a cat (sorry for none cat lovers)...Speedy G showing a little bit of "fang".
Sharing this with FELINE FRIDAY

In lieu of all the "rain" we've had this month I'm leaving you with this song choice:

Have a great weekend...More rain headed our way.  Oh Goodie!

Friday Fun - April 6, 2018

Welcome!  - It's been a rainy first week of April here in "Wally-World" but it's better than snow so I can't complain.

Tom (The Backroads Traveler) has taken over:
WILLY-NILLY FRIDAY FIVE and I'm joining in on the fun today.

I'll also be joining Comedy Plus for FELINE FRIDAY and

McGuffy's Reader for FRIENDLY-FILL INS - Just click on the links to be taken to the party.

Starting off with Willy-Nilly Friday Five:

1.  Every time I've driven by this sign I've wanted to get a picture of it.  I just happened to have my camera with me one day last week and the light was red so I snapped a quick photo.

Do you see what's "Funny" about the sign? -  Next time your seafood "sits up" you might want to run.

2.  Took a drive the other day.  Spotted these deer (there were two others out of this shot) resting in some one's yard.

3.  Drove up to Bennington Lake, the water is really low as they haven't filled it yet.  Saw this Heron though and managed to get close enough for a few shots before it flew off.

4.  They finally opened up Rooks Park and I thought this pretty blooming tree looked so "spring like" that I had to take a few pictures.  The bees were enjoying the blooms.

5.  Coleen likes to wear clothes that don't match (it's her quirky style) - This was the PJ ensemble she had on yesterday morning.

Colorful huh?

For Feline Friday a cat I spotted while out on a walk this week during one of the few times it wasn't raining.

I'm being watched very carefully.

Friendly Fill-Ins:

The statements:

Week 100: April 6, 2018
1.                       is one of my                            .
2. I                        to                          .

My Answers:

1.  People who let their dogs poop on your yard is one of my pet peeves.  - Saw this happen last night to our neighbors yard.  How hard is it to carry a clean-up bag and pick it up!

2.  I like to listen to my Friends CD's to help me go to sleep.  I know them by heart after listening to them so much.

3.  I have a hard time getting motivated to do anything these days.  I need a vacation!

4. In lieu of my answer to number 3...Procrastinating is easy for me!  - Eventually though I get out of my funk and get things done.

That's it for me this time around.  Hope you have enjoyed your stay.  Leaving you with a song...
