Good Morning. - That you to all who are praying for our area and the wildfire in our mountains. - It is now 5% contained. That doesn't seem like much but it's bettr then zero percent. - If you want further information on this fire you can visit this website.

GOOD FENCES.
I wanted to share a photo with you of the "Tent City" located at our local Community College that has been set up for the Firefighters. I realized that this photo has a "fence" in it so I'm including it with my other fence photo today.
They have 1,000 personnel now working on this fire. Support from the community for the fire fighters has been awesome.
Now on to the next fence. . .
I don't have anything quite a creative as last weeks (Wheel Fence) but I still think it's a neat fence.
Coleen and I spotted this white fence with a green gate while out walking Pixie (my mom's dog) so I snapped a photo of it.
So here you see the lattice fencing, the green gate and some white fencing in the background. It's not the most spectacular fence but did you notice someting near the gate?
How pretty is that!
Hope you've enjoyed this little fence/gate and the lovely surprise blooming next to it.
Have a great day.
pretty fence scenes - and the tent city kind of brings things into perspective, too. sure hope they continue to make progress!
ReplyDeletewe saw the fire on TV this morning and it is horrible.. that is a good thing with the tent city. i am thinking they are so exhausted they could sleep in a tent with no problem. wonder what the temps are there... i would not want to sleep outside here right now
ReplyDeleteI like that fence, and its pretty little decoration.
Oh, what memories the gate brings back. We had one like that in our fence when I was a kid...Wow!!! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteLove the last shot. Looks like a painting.
ReplyDeleteWow, I hope the fire is able to be controlled soon. The tent city is neat, I hope the firemen are comfy, they deserve it! The last shot is beautiful. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThat green fence is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI know this sounds crazy, but when i first looked at the green gate I thought they had used a mattress or bed frame for an unusual gate! Sorry -just my wild imagination!!LOL!
ReplyDeleteI always love lattice and trellis work too. The sweet pink blooms are so pretty peeking through!
That is a pretty fence with the green gate. WE sure hope they get that fire under control. You have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOh pretty blossoms....I'm surprised it's still there so near the gate. Guess no one uses the gate then.
ReplyDeleteAnd the structure for firefighters? This means they burn, and use it for practice on fire.
Great fences.
ReplyDeleteI love those flowers. Used to have them at my other house. Please tell me you know the name of them. I would love to get a start of them again.
Such a pretty fence. Praying for the firefighters!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope they do get control of that fire soon! And that no firefighters are hurt.
ReplyDeleteYou got another winner in fences! I just love these...we had gates very similar to those when I was a kid.
I like the flowers in your last image - it makes it so happy!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about the fire in your area. This is truly scary. Since yesterday we have had a big fire as well - not too close, but right in the next county. When I was picking up my daughter yesterday from the natural preserve where she works at the moment we could smell the fire (much closer to the county line). Honestly, this scares the heck out of me. Everything is so bone dry! I lvoe that there is so much support for the firefighters in your community. They really work hard, and I hope their work is not hindered by some drone like it happened last week in Southern California. I do hope that the fire will be contained soon. Just like yours, ours here is contained 5% - yes, not a lot, but like you said, better than 0.
...thanks for explaining that....and I READ the blue creek fire on your post, but it just didn't register that it was something other than the tent set up for practice/drills.
ReplyDeleteThe tent city is rather impressive! Those gate flowers are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGod bless and watch over the fire fighters.
ReplyDeletePretty fence and flowers.
Hi Ida, prayers the fires end soon and blessings to all those firemen. Enjoyed your green gate and the pretty flowers peeking around. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend ahead. cm
Indeed it's very pretty, as is your mother's gate. The tents and that they are there to provide shelter for the hard working crews, that is so wonderful too. Thank goodness that the worst of it is behind. Onward!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your fences for the week. : )
ReplyDeleteThat old fence gate is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of those fires and it is heartwarming to know there is support for the firefighters in harm's way! Love those pink flowers peeking through the fence.
ReplyDeleteThe wire fencing in the gate brings back so many memories of the common fences around when I was a kid. Lovely with the flowers!
ReplyDeleteWhat delightful little blooms.
