Good Fences #113 - A Romantic Fence

Welcome! - It's been a busy morning (I just spent 2 1/2 hours outside planting flowers and weeding flower beds) so I'm a bit late for the party but here goes:

Let's look at some GOOD FENCES  hosted by Theresa,
(The Run-a-round Ranch Report).

Be sure to Click to Enlarge Photos

One day while out driving I stopped to take a picture of this fence.  It didn't look like that fancy of a fence but it was still nice and then this lovely American Eskimo ran out to greet me.  Her name is Keisha.  I use to have an American Eskimo (Rebel) so I was happy to see this sweet one.  There was another one on the back steps but it wouldn't come out to greet me.  The lady that lived there said the one on the steps was a rescue from a "puppy mill" and that Keisha was his protector.

As I turned the corner I noticed the fancy little gate they had in the front of their place so I took a picture of it.

Both these photos were shot back in February of this year.  A couple of days ago I was driving by the place again when I noticed something and I just had to go home and get my camera and go back to photograph it.

There were roses blooming in the yard.  This is part of the side fence.

There was an arbor with roses growing over it in the front by the fancy gate.

Isn't that pretty! - Notice behind the arbor there seem to be more roses blooming.

Wait for it......................

Isn't that just amazing and so beautiful and romantic looking!

I drove back around the block and stopped once more because I spotted the shy little American Eskimo sitting on the back steps.  I didn't get out because I didn't want to scare him and he didn't get up so this is the best shot I could get of him.

It pays to go back sometimes and revisit a fence because if I hadn't I would never have been able to share those gorgeous roses with you all.

Don't forget to stop in and check out the other Good Fences.  Have a great day.

  3. Your houses are so large and because they are made of wood are so rustic and romantic. That we do not see here in the Netherlands. I like it so much! The white fence is great. And that dog too :-) Beautiful roses. I enjoyed your post today.

Thanks for the email - I had no idea, that when I click the Wordpress logo below, that it's a no-reply choice! Have to start experimenting - maybe the left J-sign is better. Let me know whenever convenient, what you see when I choose that. Have a great weekend and hope to hear from you soon:)

  25. The rose covered arbour is amazing. I can't help thinking that it must make the house a little dark until the flowers hqve gone? Pity you cant add smellyvision the picture.

  32. I just got a new home and there is no fence to speak of. Don't really have a point to make one. There's a ditch in the front yard and not really a backyard to speak of.

  33. It's like a fairytale house with this fence decorated with roses. Beautiful!
