Lilac Tree - 2025

   I forgot that I had this post in, Draft.  So without further ado here it is: 

I'm not sure how long I've been sharing photos of my mom's, French Lilac tree but you can see several posts here by looking up, Lilac.

This is this years, annual photos.  Sadly the tree took a really bad hit this past winter and only had a few blooms.

We are hoping that we can bring it back to it's glory soon.  Have had advice on pruning it this fall and hopefully it will be much prettier next year.

Most of the flowers were from mine and Greta's gardens.  Our other next door neighbor let me cut some of their roses.  The deep red one use to be in our yard but didn't do well so we were going to throw it away and then the lady who lived next door at the time took it and planted it on the other side of the fence and it really thrived after that.  

Always nice not to have to buy flowers.

Easter 2025

 I'm sharing some photos from Easter 2025  Most of these feature, Joelle (Jojo) and Jupiter (Coleen). - I didn't get any pictures of the food or the other people who were here to eat it - I'm slacking off I guess.  Jupiter helped Jojo color Easter Eggs,  Then they did some chalk drawings.  The rooster was drawn by Jupiter.  Later there was her Egg hunt. -  The meal was very good.  We had a nice Easter.

Catching up

Hello and Welcome. - Yes I have been absent from this blog for most of this year.  Due to the unforeseen death of my niece and the fact that winter tends to depress me I just haven't felt much like posting.

I'm going to start today's post way back on New Years Eve with our family celebration.

Snacks and dessert. - We had eaten Nachos (prepared by our daughter, Greta earlier) - Sadly I forgot to get a picture of those.  They were delicious though.

We played some games,  this was Charades.  First picture is Jojo and her mom.  Second shot is, Jupiter.  Yes I played too but I don't think there were any pictures of me playing.  I suck at this game.

A game of Uno being played.  - I'm in the 2nd photo.  After a rough start and my protesting that I didn't like the game I ended up winning.

Bing, bang, boom and 2025 arrived.

Little did we know what would happen later.

Heaven Gained a new precious soul.

 It is with great sadness that we lost my precious niece, Krissy early New Years morning. -  It's just been a week since she left this earth but she left a huge hole in my heart.

I will post more at a later date but I wanted to post this much.

You will be missed Krissy - Rest in Peace.  Love you always.
