Good Fences #114 - Two Doors and a Goat

Hello!

It's time to join Theresa (The Run-a-round Ranch Report) for GOOD FENCES.

I happened to be walking down an alley one day when I spotted something (you couldn't miss it) and stopped to take a picture to share for good fences.

Here was this bright orange and red door leaning up against the fence.  The last time I was by the alley the door was still there.  I'm not sure if it's meant to be yard decor or just what but it certainly catches your eye.

So a few days later Coleen and I are on another walk when what do we spot....

This Yellow Door leaning against a fence in another yard.  Makes me think perhaps this is a "trend" to use doors as accents in your yards.

Also spotted this at the same location....

Cute little fellow.  You can still see the yellow door in the background of this shot too.

Hope you've enjoyed the doors, fences & goat.  - Don't forget to stop by Theresa's blog and check out all the other Good Fences.

Have a great day!

  4. Hello, I would think the colorful doors could be garden art. I have seen windows being used too. The goat is so cute! I want one! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!

  5. Hello Ida!:) Curiouser and curiouser!!! It's a very new trend if it is meant to be a garden decoration, but it's a great find, and oddly enough I kind of like it.

  6. Guess some people didn't know what to do with doors that just weren't any good any more. That goat is just too cute. At least you don't have to worry about it getting out of the fence.

  7. Well that is an interesting mystery. You know if they were just plain old white doors you'd think somebody was just messy, but since they are both so brightly colored, it makes me think they are definitely planning to do something with them. I hope you walk by again and let us know.

  18. I've never seen the door thing before as decoration, but two like that seems too much of a coincidence. If I seem them here I'll know where it started. :-) I like the colorful doors, but I gotta give props to the goat!

  24. What a surprise to come upon two doors leaning on a fence in your walks! I wonder if that was a coincidence or if everyone is replacing their doors with new ones?

  25. Hi Ida, that could be a trend for garden decor! Amazing that you spotted two doors doing the same thing! That goat will soon clamber up that door and over the fence. Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments. Have a great weekend. Jo

  30. Okay, I was expecting a real live goat that was perhaps climbing the door leaning on the fence. LOL
Maybe they did have a goat at one time -- you wouldn't have to mow the lawn then! :)

  33. I would never have imagined that doors would make such terrific garden art. And so easy to install, too.

  34. Interesting! I've seen doors used in gardens, but not simply leaning against a fence. They do dress up an ordinary chain link fence though. Cute!

  40. Yard art, I guess....also, I enjoyed the fill-in in the post ahead of this one. It is amazing that so many people just cannot do change. We were paying for smething yesterday, and it game to $6 and some change. I handed her two $5's and she acted like she didn't know what to do. Like I had not given her enough or something. It was just plain weird.
