Well here she is ready to head off to the 4th Grade
There wasn't much enthusiasm this morning about heading back to school. Seems she wanted just "One More Week of Summer." Alas that wasn't meant to be so off she went with her mom.
Here is the side by side comparison photos from 3rd grade to 4th grade.
Hopefully it was a good day for her.

too funny. the reluctance is evident. :)
ReplyDeleteshe does look like she rather not go, i used to feel the same way.. she really has grown up a lot in just one year... and her hair got lighter to...
ReplyDeleteHope she has a great year!
ReplyDeleteHi Ida!
ReplyDeleteI can see how much taller she got. Such a pretty little girl.
I hated school and quit when I was fifteen. I did a home study high school course and went on to eventually teach in a Master's degree program. But, boy, did I hate school! Not learning, though.
No one knew about dyslexia, ADD, and Sensory Processing Sensitivity back then. I had them all.
So cute! :)
ReplyDeleteShe is growing up!
ReplyDeleteHope she has a great year!
ReplyDeleteColeen and her mom are so pretty. I hope that she enjoyed her day and will have a great year.
ReplyDeleteAw! Such a little cutie-pie! I can remember my little ones feeling the same way about the first day of school, but don't they come home with all sorts of exciting chatter? I loved hearing those sweet stories. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteThey grow up so fast and there's so much difference in just one year. She's just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI felt like hiding on the first day, scratch that every day of school!
ReplyDeleteHope her day gave her something to smile about...
ReplyDeleteCutie- she looks a bit pensive about heading back to school. I bet she will perk up after a week or so. My grands are all back and so far, are loving school. I hope your grand has a wonderful year!
ReplyDeleteAwww...I hope she has an awesome year!
ReplyDeleteYou know we get out in May and head back early, but now we're in our 5th week. I think I like it. :) Summer is all that closer!
Always hard getting back into that school schedule. I used to feel that way when I taught school, lots of mixed feelings. Summer is hard to let go of!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame her. I never wanted to go back to school either. : )
ReplyDeleteLOL she looked happier last year ! Pretty both years :)
ReplyDeleteHope she had a good first day back. I can understand her wanting one more week of summer.
ReplyDeleteI hope it was a good day for her too. I never liked it when summer vacation was over and we were back in the hot, humid classroom. No AC for us.
ReplyDeleteAwwww...going back to school can be rough. I'm glad her first day was a good one, and I hope the school year ahead will be a happy one!
ReplyDeleteVery cute. That's a lot of pink! My Grand daughter loves pink! Thanks for coming by my Potato soup post. It is funny how everyones is different!
ReplyDeleteWell.....she sure looks happier last year and man is she growing up!!
ReplyDeleteTell her I said she is beautiful in pink!!
She's certainly growing up and so pretty in pink! My grandson that started the 5th grade wasn't ready to go back either!
ReplyDeleteWow, they grow up fast don't they?
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
She looks lovely, as does her mum ... and it looks like she still loves the colour pink. I have a little chap here who dragged his heels and muttered something similar about his holidays not having been long enough as well. Happily he came home fizzing with excitement at being re-united with all his school chums. I wish Coleen all the luck in the world for the fourth grade. All the best, Bonny
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the side by side shot of you little darling! There certainly is a lot of changes between third and fourth grades! One more year closer to being a tween/teen! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy, she is growing up so quickly, isn't she? I hope she enjoyed her first day back to school.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
She's growing up before your very eyes, isn't she? I hope she had a good first week, even though she wasn't too enthusiastic about it.
