Joining Kathy (You'll Shoot Your Eye Out) for SONGOGRAPHY today.
For some reason I thought today's song was, Another Brick in the Wall (and I will share that was well) but that was last weeks song. Anyway today's song is, American Pie by Don Mclean.
I've always loved this song no matter if I understood the lyrics or not. It's a very long song and I have it on a 45 record. To hear the complete song you had to flip the record over to play the other side.
So for last weeks Another Brick in the Wall I found this:
It's the back of one of the houses in our neighborhood. It really has nothing to do with the lyrics of the song but I thought it was pretty cool anyway.
Hope you've enjoyed these.

HUGS TO YOU
You have me thinking about the upcoming season of car shows! So much fun.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that car so pretty and shiny! That song is a blast from the past, but even more so is your mention of a 45.
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember the 45 record and the song was too long to play on one side only. Many radio stations ONLY played one side, haha. Some didn't realize the song was as long as it truly is. Thanks for joining in at Song-ography!
ReplyDeleteThose are two great shots.
ReplyDeleteThe bricks and tulips and red door are so lovely! Don McLean is a favorite, and I've always loved that song too -- it's just part of our generation, right? Kinda sad, kinda fun, kinda happy.
