Posting some Friday 5's and joining Orange You Glad It's Friday along with sharing some kitty photos.
1. Here is my shot for OYGIF - The sign at the college for the firefighters.
I am happy to report the fire is 95% contained.
2. We drove up Scenic Loop today and you could see a small portion of the burn area from the fire.
The burned area is in the middle of the shot. The fire extend much further back then this shot but we weren't able to drive into the burn area just yet as they are still working on putting the last of the fire out.
3. Spotted this plant growing in someone's parking strip garden (which I'll share more of later on.) - I don't remember what this plant is called though. If you know let me know and I'll give it a name. I think it's really pretty though.
Edited: Mildred from Cattales supplied me with the plant name: Love Lies Bleeding. The technical name is: Amaranthus caudatus Thanks Mildred.
4. While on our drive up to the mountains Coleen spotted some deer in someone's yard so I backed up until I could see them decent enough to snap a photo of them.
5. We took our kitten Bandit in for his rabies shot this morning. Since he was featured on Monday for Mancat Monday I thought today you could see our female cats. Someone who commented on Monday said they should be featured on "Femcat Friday" so that's what I'm going to call it for these shots.
This is Miss Dottie - She is 15 years old
This is Snickers who is also 15 years old.
Finally a funny shot of Callie-Jo who is 7 years old. This shot is for Crockett from Lone Star Cats who loves to give "raspberries"
Have a fabulous weekend!

Good Fences #71 - Let's Horse Around
Welcome!
Good News....The Blue Creek Fire near Walla Walla, WA is now 85% contained!
Thanks to everyone for your prayers about this horrible wild fire and let's continue to pray for all the fire fighters out there battling fires all over the US right now.
Let's join Theresa (The Run-a-round Ranch Report) now for GOOD FENCES.
Here is another of the fun fence finds that Coleen and I spotted while driving around one day.
This nice Wrought Iron Fence was adorned with Horse Heads.
A littlc closer view of the heads on the posts.
Apparently they love horses here as evidenced by the fence and the statues in the yard. Check this one out.
We turned around and drove up the stree to the front of the house and discovered that they had more Horse stuff at the front of the house....no fence though but I just have to share anyway.
Isn't this precious.
Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy your visits and comments very much.
Have a great day.

Monday Musings
It's Monday and the start of a new week.
Just wanted to update everyone who's been praying for us during our Wild Fire in the mountains recently. As of last night the fire had been updated to 50% contained. No further buildings have been destroyed and no lives have been lost. Best news of all.....
It's RAINING!
We had a sudden and brief rainshower here on Friday night but it didn't reach the fire area.
This morning it's rained quite a bit although it's starting to clear off already. I'm hoping though that the rain reached the fire area to help put that fire completely out.
In the meantime here are some cute cats to share for Mancat Monday.
Captain Cuddles (sleeping) He wouldn't look up no matter what I tried. Also the newest member of our "mancat" family, Bandit.
This is our oldest "mancat" - Harley
This is the 2nd to youngest of our male cats, Spooky-boo.
I'll share photos of the girls another day.
Have a great day!

Friday Fun - July 24, 2015
It's Friday and since Tanya is on break from Willy-Nilly Friday Five I thought I'd go ahead and post my Five Things anyway for you to enjoy. Plus I'll join in on a few other fun memes.
I have another "theme" post here today. See if you can guess what the theme is.
1.
Bees Flying into a bee box
2.
P-17 Flying Fortress - Wings of Freedom Tour - We went to the airport to see the planes but I captured this shot as the planes were leaving. This was over my mom's house.
3.
Tiger Swallow Tail on Thistle - Mill Creek Drive (I've been waiting all summer to capture a butterfly photo and finally got one.)
4.
5.
Dragonfly on Rocks - I'm not familiar with the name of this dragonfly though.
6. - Bonus as it still fits the theme. - Joining (Life's Sweets and Spices) here for Orange You Glad It's Friday.
I spotted this Food Truck while heading out on a drive and had to stop and take a picture of it. It's not often you see a bright orange truck like this one.
So did you all guess my theme? (Things With Wings)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also joining Hilary for Follow Friday for Fill-In Fun.
The statements:
1. I love the time I spend visiting so many wonderful blogs and learning new things from them.
2. Summer isn't my favorite season. - It's way to HOT here for my taste.
3. I always cry at things like Parade's or Weddings or Graduations. I'm very sentimental.
4. I used to enjoy making handmade cards but I rarely take the time now to stamp and make cards. I should get back into it though as it's fun and relaxing.

Joining now for Feline Friday
(The Burnt Food Dude) and Feline Art
This is our cat Spooky-boo playing in a bag. - I edited the photo below on BeFunky and IPiccy and PicMonkey to share with Feline Art

Good Fences #70 - Blooming by a fence
Good Morning. - That you to all who are praying for our area and the wildfire in our mountains. - It is now 5% contained. That doesn't seem like much but it's bettr then zero percent. - If you want further information on this fire you can visit this website.
For some amazing photos of the fire visit here:
https://www.facebook.com/ewpnick Nick Page is one of many photographers who've captured the fire. You'll need to scroll down to see the photos from the Blue Creek Fire.
So let's join Theresa (The Run-a-round Ranch Report) now for
GOOD FENCES.
I wanted to share a photo with you of the "Tent City" located at our local Community College that has been set up for the Firefighters. I realized that this photo has a "fence" in it so I'm including it with my other fence photo today.
They have 1,000 personnel now working on this fire. Support from the community for the fire fighters has been awesome.
Now on to the next fence. . .
I don't have anything quite a creative as last weeks (Wheel Fence) but I still think it's a neat fence.
Coleen and I spotted this white fence with a green gate while out walking Pixie (my mom's dog) so I snapped a photo of it.
So here you see the lattice fencing, the green gate and some white fencing in the background. It's not the most spectacular fence but did you notice someting near the gate?
How pretty is that!
Hope you've enjoyed this little fence/gate and the lovely surprise blooming next to it.
Have a great day.

Wordless Wednesday - Fire
Joining Wordless Wednesday
I know this is supposed to be "wordless" but I ask you all to pray for the 400+ Firefighters battling this blaze in our beloved Blue Mountains. It's already burned nearly 4500 acres. So far no lives lost.
It's been HOT & DRY here with no rain in sight.

Good Fences#69 - Wheelie Good Fence
Hello! - I've been absent from the blog and from commenting on blogs for about a week now. We've been dealing with some family issues that have taken up much of my time so I haven't been able to stop by your blogs like I normally do. At any rate things are starting to calm down again so I hope to be popping by your blogs very soon.
Today I'm joining in on the fun of GOOD FENCES hosted by Theresa from, The Run-a-round Ranch Report.
A view of the fence that runs down part of the property.
Same view - a little closer
Getting closer still
Today I'm joining in on the fun of GOOD FENCES hosted by Theresa from, The Run-a-round Ranch Report.
We took a little drive up Mill Creek in the mountains the other day and I had to stop by once again and take some pictures of this unique fence. - It may have been featured here once before on the blog for a different meme but these are new photos so I'm going to share them. - This property is owned by a man who runs a muffler shop in town. He has a bunch of different figures at his place of business as well as on this property.
Same view - a little closer
Getting closer still
Nice and Close
Check out the critter sitting on top of one of the wheels to the right of this shot.
Here's the same view further out and I believe there is another critter in the left of the photo.
Finally a couple of the critters that sit either on this fence or very near it.
Rock on Dude!
Smile your on Candid Camera!
I hope you've enjoyed this fun and creative fence. I know I always do when I drive past it.
