Lilac Tree - 2025

I forgot that I had this post in, Draft.  So without further ado here it is:

I'm not sure how long I've been sharing photos of my mom's, French Lilac tree but you can see several posts here by looking up, Lilac.

This is this years, annual photos.  Sadly the tree took a really bad hit this past winter and only had a few blooms.

We are hoping that we can bring it back to it's glory soon.  Have had advice on pruning it this fall and hopefully it will be much prettier next year.

  1. The color is amazing! The ones here are all much paler. So is French Lilac different from regular Lilac?

  5. I love lilacs. Your photos are absolutely stunning! I don't own a home or have a garden, as I live in a 6th floor apartment, but there is a lilac tree not far from where I live. (Montreal, Canada). Sadly, the lilacs have shriveled and died already. It gets very hot and humid here every summer, and this Monday the temperature is said to be 46 with the humidity Celsius...114 Fahrenheit.
Seeing your post has brought me much joy and some refreshing moments! Thank you so much for sharing.
