It's been a bit of an emotional week here. I've been struggling with trying to decide if I should put my sweet kitty, Snickers down. Had made the decision to do it but then just couldn't so she's still with us for the time being. - It's a hard choice to make and I pray if you have pets you never have to make that decision.
Now let's move on to a happier subject.
It's time to join Theresa (The Run-a-round Ranch Report) for GOOD FENCES. - Warning that this is a photo heavy post as I couldn't decide which pictures to leave out.
Today's post is all about Provenance Fences. So what is Provenance?

While out for a drive one day we came upon a new housing division being built. Here is the entrance to the division:
There are two or three of these bridge walls with cobblestone roads throughout the development.
Some of the pretty grasses growing along the roads.
None of this area has homes built in it yet but there are fences all around the plots of land. - I didn't take pictures of the area that had the homes in it. Just the undeveloped area.
In the background on the right side of the above photo you can see one of the homes in the area that has houses already built.
Took a couple of close-ups of the fencing. You can see they have an electric fence at the top. I'm not sure why though as there is nothing there for anyone to steal but maybe they just don't want people on the land.
This fence is rustic and you can see lots of these curvy boards like the one in the picture above throughout the fencing.
Isn't that bark neat looking. The wind was blowing as you can see in this photo.
Here is a view further back and you can see the vineyard way up on top of the hillside. Only the bridge areas have the cobblestone roads.
The log on this portion of the bridge/wall is going to need replacing soon. Not sure what is going on with it but it's been damage somehow. (Hopefully not by vandals)
Finally a view of one of the farms that is in the division where people live. There was a sign somewhere there that said to keep the gate closed as there were donkeys present. We didn't see any donkeys but a couple of big woolly looking sheep wandered out of the barn so I snapped their picture.
It's my understanding that this is a very "Expensive" area to build a home at.
