Hello & Welcome.
Yesterday was a historic day for sure. Many people are at a loss for words as to the outcome of the election in the US - Many are angry with the results, many are elated, some threaten to leave the US (okay if that's how you feel then go), many want to uprise against the newly elected leader etc...I say this:
My thoughts: United We Stand - Divided We Fall - The choice is up to you.
My faith says this:
Regardless of whether or not I believe in the person elected as our next president my God says I'm subject to their authority.
I am also to pray for our country and our leaders.
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. - 1 Timothy 2:1-15
Please be respectful of our leaders and each other.
Lovely photo and wise words to begin this new direction. And, yes, we should all pray for our leaders to make informed decisions and strive for excellence in everything they say and do.ReplyDelete
Amen! The Lord is gracious and faithful to us, that is one thing we can always count on! Thankful today, and every day for the blessings of the Lord in our lives.ReplyDelete
A very good post, Ida. I will continue to pray for our Country and its leaders.ReplyDelete
I hope you and your family are doing ok. God bless. xo
Well said Ida!ReplyDelete
Also meant to say what an incredible header shot and beautiful one on this post.ReplyDelete
So encouraged to hear your voice of reason in this historic outcome!ReplyDelete
Please let our leaders be respectful of others.ReplyDelete

What a dawn it was today. We need to come together, for sure.ReplyDelete
Well said, Ida.ReplyDelete
It's too bad more people can't see things the way you do. It would make the world a better place. I can't help wondering how many of those celebrities who claimed they would leave the country if Trump was elected will live up to their wordReplyDelete
What a beautiful and faithful thought.ReplyDelete
Everyone vows to leave and never do. It's always Canada too. I always chuckle when Republican lose and they vow this. Even Canada's under Conservative rule is far more liberal in practice than a "liberal" America.ReplyDelete
It's time to come together and to stop all the bickering and name calling. It's been a tough few months, and only time will tell how this all turns out. I'm just baffled by all the hate.ReplyDelete
Very well said!ReplyDelete
i am trying to decide which is worse, pre-election or post election. i think i am more embarrassed by what people are doing now! everyone wants him to fail, and that's so sad!!ReplyDelete
Very well said, and very wise advise. The best thing we can do for our leaders - especially the ones we don't care for - is to pray for them. Surely he will need guidance and support on this new journey!! Everyone needs to remember that under Democracy: you still have choices!!ReplyDelete
