Welcome - I always seem to be apologizing for not posting much or getting around to visit blogs. - My life lately has been taken up by looking after my mom. She developed Edema & an Infection in her legs. The infection is gone now after a 2 week course of Antibiotics which I had to give her every 6 hours. The Edema is now being treated by a Home Nurse who comes out at least once a week to wrap her legs but I need to be there when she does as my mom doesn't hear real well and depends on me to tell her what people are saying. - So if I don't pop by your blog you'll know that it's because I'm busy.
So now it's time to join Theresa for GOOD FENCES
Here is my fence find for this week.
I spotted this section of fence and gate while out on a walk. - There seems to be something missing, can you figure out what?
Need a hint?.....
I wonder what happened to that missing piece of fence on the gate.
So that's my find for this week. - Please stop by The Run-a-Round Ranch Report to check out the other Good Fences.
Have a great day.
It sure is a nice find, even with a missing piece. Sounds like you do well to do a post every now and then.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope your mom is better soon. Glad the infection in her lungs is gone.
ReplyDeleteHi Ida. Good to see you again. Just you take care of yourself and your mom. You're an angel. I also wonder how that spike was pulled off the gate fence. Blessings Jo
ReplyDeleteThough missing a piece, the fence does look really nice :)

Thinking of you and your mom and hoping this treatment helps.
ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet capture of the fence - maybe some kids were swinging on the gate and that part broke! We used to love swinging on a gate!
Good eye to see that was missing!
ReplyDeleteHello, Ida!! It is pretty fence. Even with a part missing. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeletehoping your mom gets better soon. glad to hear the infection is over!
ReplyDeletethis is a mystery, how could it get broken off, I mean who in their right mind would try to climb that sharp fence. it is pretty
ReplyDeletehope your mom's edema gets better quickly.
ReplyDeleteGreat fence pics! I wonder what happened to that piece too! Mystery! I'm glad your mom is doing better.
ReplyDeleteI think, as bloggers, the majority of us understand that there are times when life just gets too hectic to spend much time online. No one is immune, it seems.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear the infection is gone. Edema can be a difficult condition. My Grandmother suffered from it, and her legs were always so tired and sore. All my best to you and your Mom. Take care Ida.
Lovely images. So sorry to hear your mother has been struggling with her health. Hopefully, she's on the mend now.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your Mom. Thanks for sharing the fence and what a shame that part is missing.
ReplyDeletePraying for you guys and sending wishes for a nice Thanksgiving. xo
It's a nice gate and hope it can be fixed.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted that something was missing!
ReplyDeleteSending my good thoughts and wishes for your mom.
Take care
All the best Jan
Nutkin took it?!?!
ReplyDelete(I know, not his style...he can't eat it!)
~
Must have been quite something to knock off that piece!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for your mom's return to wellness . We've all been in a place where for some reason we cant visit other bloggers. Please dont stress about it -- you need to take care of yourself at a time like this. And if you only have a few minutes to blog, its better to write your own post than to visit others -- that way all your blog friends know you're hanging in there. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteToo bad, but maybe it was an emergency:) Someone's clothes got stuck on there, or worse...
ReplyDeleteMissing you at SEASONS, so I hope you'll be be back soon:) Don't forget to take care of yourself, friend:):) Have a great weekend.
Nice fence and gate with some missing parts. Don't worry, Ida. First take care of your mom or other important things first. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your mom. Hope she's doing better soon.
ReplyDeleteAs for the fence piece, those are pretty sharp looking I hope the missing one isn't the object of somethings demise
...good eye for detail.
ReplyDeleteHello Ida!:) This time you got me! I didn't see the missing piece until you pointed it out. I do hope your Mom gets well soon. All the best.:)
ReplyDeletegreat catch - i needed the hint!! have a wonderful weekend!!!!
ReplyDeleteDelightful fence shots and distant healing reiki energy coming your way for you and your Mom ~ not easy being a caregiver or being the one who is ill ~ lots of hugs and prayers ~ xox
ReplyDeleteWishing you a gentle weekend ~ ^_^
Sorry about your mom but glad things are improving.
ReplyDeleteNice fence. O, I think it's stolen :)
ReplyDeletethe handle?? Still a nice fence.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your mom, but good that she is better.
I love iron fences even if they're missing pieces! I hope your mom improves.
ReplyDeleteI love every fence that is wrought iron!!
ReplyDeleteIf it's like my house, the missing part is sitting in a drawer waiting for us to have time to reattach. Hoping it doesn't get lost during the wait. Hope your mom is feeling better soon. Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteWhoops! I wonder if it was due to what my brother did to our old backyard gate... he had a habit of always grabbing the exact same spindle to close the gate. Until I guess eventually the thing just broke off! I like this gate - it is nearly exactly as the one we had to the one in my parents backyard and I can remember all the good memories in the yard beyond.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your mom. I hope she is doing better.

Yikes! Seems like it would take a lot to knock one of those spikes off of there. You have a town full of great fences. Your mom is lucky to have you so close. I sure hope she's getting better.
