Catching Up

Boy Time Flies....
From my birthday (March 20) My mom had a package for me with Candles on it so Coleen and I were pretending to blow them out.
My gift from Coleen, One of her Dora pictures.  Sorry for the bad photo but the camera settings must hae been off when the picture was taken and I couldn't edit it any better.  I look like I've got a sunburn.

Coleen hunting Easter eggs.  Notice how windy it was out.
Counting her eggs.  You can see her mouthing the number (4)
LSome Spring flowers - These white bells were by one of the duck ponds in our local city park.  The Grape Hyacinths were in someone's yard and I took some shots while Coleen and I were out for a walk.
Lastly a fun picture I took of Harley the other day.  This was one of my stuffed frogs but he adopted it and loves to throw it around the room.  He decided to take a nap on the cat perch and his frog toy became a pillow.
I'll try to post more photos soon and keep you up to date a little more often.

What's New

Spring is almost here!  The daffodils are blooming right now and it's always a pleasure to see their bright sunny yellow blooms even on a gloomy day.       Bought my mom a Primrose (the one on the left) and she bought 4 more so I thought I share this photo as well since they are so pretty and colorful.

We leave cat food out at night on my mom's porch for any hungry kitties that might be in the neighborhood and it seems there are quite a few.  Not only that but there appears to be a hungry raccoon as well.  This one was happily munching away on the food the other night till we scared him off.  He ran up this tree in my mom's yard and I snapped his picture.  We'd rather he didn't visit but I guess they have to eat too.

Not much going on really other then the daily grind.  Getting ready to rap up the Bowling League and then have surgery on my left hand (Carpal Tunnel) the 8th of April.  The weather is turning a bit nicer although this week it's been COLD and we thought we might get snow (the mountains did) but thankfully we haven't.  Expecting rain later & by the time my birthday rolls around on the 1st Day of Spring I'm hoping it's back to sunny skies again.
Got my hair cut short a few weeks ago.  Most people like it and I'm happy with it so the cut was a success.
Well that's about it for now.  Leave me a note to let me know you stopped by.
 Hugs from me to you.

Before it's too late...

Okay here are the (Holiday) photo's that I mentioned a couple of posts ago.  Thought I'd best put them up before it got any later in the year.

The Christmas Tree.  Yes we have an artifical tree.  I'm not to thrilled about it because I've always loved a real tree (nothing beats that smell) but since hubby is allergic and we've had some "bad" luck with trees drying out we opted for the artificial tree.  At least this one doesn't look to bad and I can leave it up till New Years which I usually couldn't do with a real tree.

Here is a picture of me with the newest grandchild - This is Savhana.  She just turned 1 year old on December 13th.  It was our first time seeing her since she was born.  Isn't she a cutie pie!

Next is a picture of Santa (aka Grandpa) with both Coleen and Savhana on Christmas morning.

Lastly it's the "gang" on New Years Eve.  What a bunch of rowdy party goers!  Sorry to be so late posting these.

Monday Morning Silliness

Hey it's Monday so I thought I'd start your week off with some SILLY pictures...Check out the "raspberry" that Captain Cuddles is giving you.  That's what we think of heading back to work!  By the way Coleen took this picture.  It actually had 2 of our cats in the picture but when I saw the expression on Cuddles face I cropped the other cat out (shame)because this one just looked so silly I couldn't resist letting him shine all by himself in the photo.

Now for some Coleen silliness...She wanted to make funny faces so I thought I'd snap a few pictures and these two were my favorites.  FUN!

Now go forth and enjoy your day!

Birthdays Abound

Welcome back...I know it's really me that's finally back posting in 2010.  I took a bit of an absence during the holidays as life was so crazy and then I started the New Year off being sick (bad case of Bronchitis) so I didn't feel much like blogging.  Anyway I'm sharing some birthday photo's this week.

My mom celebrated her 81st birthday on Monday (18th) and I invited the family over for dinner.  I prepared Lasagna (doesn't that look yummy!)  It really is and what's great about this recipe is that you don't precook the noodles!

You can see by this next photo that everyone seemed to be enjoying the food.

It was a really fun evening and I think everyone had a good time.  At least these people did!  That's my mom (Marian) on the chair laughing.  My brother Rich is in the background along with hubby, Mike.  Coleen and Andrew (My great-nephew) are also in the picture.

One party down and one to go!  Tuesday was Coleen's birthday.  Can you believe she's 5 years old already!  Where has time gone.

Since we had cake left over from the night before we just used that cake and her mom bought her the Smiley Cookie as well.  We're throwing her a "kids" party on Saturday so she'll have a cake for that party.
Here she is holding up one of her presents, a new Jean dress. She really is a "clothes hound" and a bit of a "ham" anymore where you try to take her pictures.

I'll be back again soon sharing more photo's - Maybe even some LATE Christmas and New Years pictures.

Have a great day!
