Welcome!
One of my favorite things about the spring season is when the little violets bloom. They always bring back sweet memories of picking bouquets of them to give to my mom and she would put them in a little glass and sit it in her kitchen window. Sometimes I still take her a bouquet of them out of the yard.
This morning as I was getting ready for my walk I noticed a bunch of them blooming in our yard and also in several yards along the walk. They have such a wonderful sweet smell.
They make me smile.
What is your favorite spring season memory?

Such pretty little sweet flowers! How special to find some growing in your garden!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ida for these flowers for Seasons! And such a fitting Scripture - it always gives me hope and patience (and I need a lot from the last!) I'll check out the meme you are recommending! Hope to see you back next week!
ReplyDeletei have never seen violets growing wild, only the kind that people have in their window sills. these are beautiful. i would pick few to come in the house...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo! It's hard to pinpoint a "favorite". One of my favorite things is hearing and watching the Geese go over during migration.
ReplyDeletei love tiny wood violets, too.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am so tired I cannot think, and don't know why I am tired....I will have to get back to you about favorite memory. Though one of them is I couldn't wait till it was warm enough to go without a jacket or coat.
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy your memory and photo.
Thank you for sharing this enjoyable post
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. We should see flowers soon!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteHello pretty booms! I love the purple color. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteI just love seeing the perennials emerge, and then checking in daily to be amazed at how much they have grown.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting that your are seeing spring blooms, hope they arrive here soon.
ReplyDeleteAlways exciting when I see my hostas peeking through, I know good things will soon follow.
These are so lovely and the perfect color ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is the same, every spring......waiting for the tulip bulbs that Chuck planted to pop up. They are like sweet surprises from the ground!!
I love the wild violets too! We won't have any for a couple of months yet. But the flower I always wait for, is the Forget Me Not. It usually starts to bloom right around my birthday and Mother's Day; and since my seeds came from my mother's own garden, it's perfect! But I also love their tiny blue blooms.
ReplyDeleteI just love when these little violets appear.
ReplyDeleteFor us here in NY, it is usually sometime in May.
Hmmmm, my favorite thing about spring?
How about 2 things, since I cannot pick just one. :-)
1. The magnolias
2. The first time I hear this little bird (don't know what it is), but I know it when I hear it, and when I hear it, spring cannot be far behind.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Violets are so lovely...their dainty blossoms are beautiful. Unfortunately, I cannot grow a hot-house violet to save my soul. I like pansies too. They are somewhat cold-hearty and can bridge that gap between winter and full-blown spring! I was noticing an increase in the bird songs the other morning and it made me smile. My daffs are up and might bloom early if the temps stay warm. Spring is almost ready to spring!
ReplyDeleteThe violets ae such a lovely sign of spring!
