Hello!
It's time to join Theresa (The Run-a-round Ranch Report) for GOOD FENCES.
I happened to be walking down an alley one day when I spotted something (you couldn't miss it) and stopped to take a picture to share for good fences.
Here was this bright orange and red door leaning up against the fence. The last time I was by the alley the door was still there. I'm not sure if it's meant to be yard decor or just what but it certainly catches your eye.
So a few days later Coleen and I are on another walk when what do we spot....
This Yellow Door leaning against a fence in another yard. Makes me think perhaps this is a "trend" to use doors as accents in your yards.
Also spotted this at the same location....
Cute little fellow. You can still see the yellow door in the background of this shot too.
Hope you've enjoyed the doors, fences & goat. - Don't forget to stop by Theresa's blog and check out all the other Good Fences.
Have a great day!
I LOVE the Doors, The fences and The Goat.... sounds like the title to a good book to me... i just stopped and goolged using old doors in yard decor. WOW... give it a try.... it is trending for sure, but these guys need to go to pinterest for ideas. ha ha
ReplyDeleteCute doors. I like your photos for Good Fences!
ReplyDeleteHe is a cute little fellow indeed, and as for that trend, well maybe we'll all have to get with the latest fad! Hehehe!
ReplyDeleteHello, I would think the colorful doors could be garden art. I have seen windows being used too. The goat is so cute! I want one! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!
ReplyDeleteHello Ida!:) Curiouser and curiouser!!! It's a very new trend if it is meant to be a garden decoration, but it's a great find, and oddly enough I kind of like it.
ReplyDeleteTwo doors and a goat. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWonder walk!
ReplyDeleteGuess some people didn't know what to do with doors that just weren't any good any more. That goat is just too cute. At least you don't have to worry about it getting out of the fence.
ReplyDeleteWell that is an interesting mystery. You know if they were just plain old white doors you'd think somebody was just messy, but since they are both so brightly colored, it makes me think they are definitely planning to do something with them. I hope you walk by again and let us know.
ReplyDeleteWow! Looks like it's raining doors in your part of the world. Great photos! I love the colours that they've painted their doors in. So very colourful.
ReplyDeleteNow that's some interesting yard art behind those fences!
ReplyDeleteYep, that is a trend! Fun shots.
ReplyDeletecurious about the doors, too. :) love the cute little metal goat.
ReplyDeleteThe doors are definitely eye catchers. but hard to think anyone would use for decorations. Very different.
ReplyDeleteI'm not thrilled by the leaning doors in a green trend. Like the goat though! ;-))
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just joined up as a follower!
ReplyDeleteI think it is. These are great.
ReplyDeleteI honestly was waiting for the joke....Two doors and a goat walk into a bar...teasing.
It could well be a new trend. They would look nice with flower baskets fixed on them! The goat is a fun find!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
Love the goat!
ReplyDeleteThe doors are so bright against the fence. Great find.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the door thing before as decoration, but two like that seems too much of a coincidence. If I seem them here I'll know where it started. :-) I like the colorful doors, but I gotta give props to the goat!
ReplyDeleteWow! What creative shots and how lucky to find them ~ huh? ~ Love the colored doors~
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you ~ ^_^
Nice bright colors for the doors! I have seen the rare door in my neck of the woods being used as a gate at a fence. Neat idea.
ReplyDeleteLove the goat!
ReplyDeletelove, love, love those doors!! i see lots of people using them on pinterest, inside, for all sorts of things!!!
ReplyDeleteWeird about the doors. I like the goat, too!
ReplyDeleteThat little goat stole the show. :) Interesting painted doors, now I'm curious about them.
ReplyDeleteLove those doors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise to come upon two doors leaning on a fence in your walks! I wonder if that was a coincidence or if everyone is replacing their doors with new ones?
ReplyDeleteHi Ida, that could be a trend for garden decor! Amazing that you spotted two doors doing the same thing! That goat will soon clamber up that door and over the fence. Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments. Have a great weekend. Jo
ReplyDeleteHello again!:) I forgot to mention the goat,... I see a lot of goats looking through fences where I live, but not one like this one. Another good find Ida!:)
ReplyDeleteYeah, the doors really seem to be color accents in the yards!

The doors look great at yard art. They are eye catching! Cute goat..great blog title today. :)
ReplyDeleteNice to see you again,Ida,
ReplyDeleteWhat a new and interesting idea! Those doors are used as accents?!! I like the colorful paint doors.
Have a good weekend.
Okay, I was expecting a real live goat that was perhaps climbing the door leaning on the fence. LOL
ReplyDeleteMaybe they did have a goat at one time -- you wouldn't have to mow the lawn then! :)
Your last photo made me smile! Thank you so much for sharing, and warm greetings from Montreal, Canada. :)
ReplyDeletelol, the yards in your area seem to be a source for surprises :)
ReplyDeleteI would never have imagined that doors would make such terrific garden art. And so easy to install, too.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! I've seen doors used in gardens, but not simply leaning against a fence. They do dress up an ordinary chain link fence though. Cute!
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile ...
ReplyDeleteThank you
All the best Jan
The goat is adorable! I can honestly say, I've never seen a door leaning against a fence like that. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI would feel obligated to knock on the door and see if anyone answers :-)
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued by the doors! Let us know if you see more.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! That is some awesome "yard art."
ReplyDeleteNice photos...
Yard art, I guess....also, I enjoyed the fill-in in the post ahead of this one. It is amazing that so many people just cannot do change. We were paying for smething yesterday, and it game to $6 and some change. I handed her two $5's and she acted like she didn't know what to do. Like I had not given her enough or something. It was just plain weird.
