Willy Nilly Friday Five - July 1, 2022

My gosh it's been over a month now since I've posted here.  - I guess it's because I rarely go anywhere (other than the grocery store or out to eat) so I don't seem to have much to post about.  - Okay, whining over...

For today I'm joining in on WILLY NILLY FRIDAY FIVE  hosted by Tom (The backroads traveller)

 1. Going back to May for a couple of shots... Just never posted them but wanted to share.  My mom's lilac tree was stunning this year (until the heavy rains came).  I captured this shot of some of the blooms.

2.  I try to document hubby's accidents so I can remember when they happened. - This one was May 5.  He'd been out of town working and after he got home that night he told us he'd fallen and bumped his head, elbow and knee.  After looking at the "goose egg" on his forehead we went to the Urgent Care.  - No broken bones and they didn't think he had a concussion so after a couple of hours they sent him home.  - He felt pretty sore for several days afterwards.

3.  He requested Meatloaf for his birthday in May and since I hate mixing it up my daughter and "Red" came over and helped out!

4. I got to attend a small circus with my daughter and granddaughter. This was one of the acts.  I shot this for 52 Frames Triangular Composition theme. - It made the (52 Picks album!)

5. Some strange looking clouds I noticed one night. Shot in BW

6. Every year a bunch of White Pelicans shows up and I happened to spot them one day.  - I decided to try and get a better view of them so I drove to a different spot and started walking down to the water.  Just before I got there they decided to fly so I only managed to capture this image of them.

7.  Bought a new lily from a catalog and planted it.  It should look like this one from the catalog...
Must See Lily This is what I got....  I'm not sure that I like it, what do you think?

8. While driving around trying to find something for the Everything In Focus challenge I spotted these weeds growing in a wheat field and snapped a shot of them just because.

That's it for this round. - Hopefully I'll get out more and snap more pictures like I use to so I'll have more to share.

Willy Nilly Friday 5

 Welcome and Happy Friday!

Joining Tanya (Around Roanoke) today for:

WILLY-NILLY FRIDAY FIVE

1.  Splish Splash

Took Coleen to the Splash Pad a couple of weeks ago for a Photo Shoot for the prompt (Water)  for the 52 Frames project.  This shot was one of the ones I considered for my entry but I went with something different.

2.  Can You See Me?

We spotted this doe in the middle of a wheat field while out on a drive.  She's actually standing up in this shot.

3.  It's a Colorful World

One of my lilies.  I shot this with my rainbow whirly-gig in the background of the lily.

4. Here Kitty, Kitty.

One of the neighborhood cats.  I love the way this shot turned out.

5.  Home is Where Your Heart Is

This sweet birdhouse is located at my brother's cabin.  I used this shot for the 52 Frames prompt,  Architecture.

6.  Seaside Art

This is my artistic version of a photo I took of some seagull figures on the back of someone's garage here in town.  The original SOOC (Straight Out of Camera) shot is below.

Hope you have enjoyed my Randoms.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Coleen comes home today after a week at Church Camp.  It's been quiet here without her so I'm looking forward to having her back today.

Seaons - Life Goes On

Welcome! - It's the start of another week and time to share a little of the happenings in my neck of the woods.

I'm joining Jesh (St. Germains) for SEASONS

The flowers continue to bloom and now that the extreme heat has died down a bit they are looking pretty decent.  This is one of my lilies in bloom.  I was playing around with DOF (Depth of Field) shots when I took this one.

Took a drive up to Bennington Lake the other day.  Shot this view of the Blues (The tower in the back ground is a Cell Tower) I love that this shot shows the mountains, the dirt road, a wheat field and a vineyard all at one time.

More camera experimenting.  This time with a shot of the moon.  I'm actually pleased that I got a half was decent shot.  I didn't have the camera on the tripod but I think it turned out okay anyway.

It's always time around here to enjoy photographing one of our many cats.  This one is Spooky-Boo.

We had more baby ducks visit.  The mom had 5 of them one day & 4 the next.  Sadly for some reason she abandoned them on  Saturday.  Coleen wanted to try and rescue them and eventually after one of the babies was hit by a car and killed we managed to rescue the remaining 3 and took them to the city park where hopefully they will have a better chance at surviving.

So that's a bit of life around here.  There are some stressful things going on as well right now that I'd appreciate prayers for.
