So let's join Ashley (Ramblings and Photos) for
SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY.
This weeks prompts were: Joy, White, Stripes, Tree and Shape.
JOY: It brought me great "joy" this week when the sun came out and the ice finally melted. Also the return of, Mr. and Mrs. Quakers who dropped in for a bite to eat was also occasion for joy. They are so cute.
WHITE:
Prior to the sun coming out and melting the ice/snow this was the scene earlier in the week. You can see the sparkle of the white snow. Pretty but oh am I happy it's gone.
STRIPES:
Not to original here but how about some Stripped Christmas socks.
TREE:
This one could have covered all the prompts. These candies bring me great joy, they have white and stripes and a tree shape.
SHAPE:
Gingerbread hoses and people are "shapes" - Part of our holiday lights. These sit in my mom's yard next door.
So that's it for me. Don't forget to check out the other participants.
i like your 'tree' as i like those mint candies. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Christmas socks.
ReplyDeleteHello Ida, cute shots for your photo hunt.. I am glad the sun has returned and the Quakers are happy. Cute socks and Christmas decorations.. Enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so joyful! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing and have a great week!
So glad the Quackers returned-that would have brought me joy too. Your socks are cute. I am enjoying the patches of autumn color here which is a nice change from previous years of no color.
ReplyDeleteHoping it stays cool here on Fridayaas we will be doing a faire for the kids outside and I don't want it hot,
Cute socks! And I like the Christmas decor.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the photos--especially the one of the ducks!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos to fulfill the prompts! Fun gingerbread decorations!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! Those are good looking Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteI love those candies too! Haven't had one in ages!
ReplyDeleteLove the lights, so festive! Down side to city life, not a lot of lights.
ReplyDeleteLove the lights, so festive! Down side to city life, not a lot of lights.
ReplyDeleteLove those striped socks! And the candies, too. Yum!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Driller's Place. I like all of your images. There isn't anything much whiter than snow. Striped holiday socks are very festive and appropriate for the season. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI just love that kind of Christmas candy...I can almost taste it now. How sweet to have your mum live right next door. I hope you are having a happy Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun to visit you, Ida!

Love the gingerbread lights at your mom's! Glad to see the ducks are back. You had a lot of snow/ice! Those socks are adorable and so festive. I haven't had one of those candies in forever! Brings back memories!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, love the socks!! :)
ReplyDeleteLike those socks. : )
ReplyDeleteGreat holiday photos! Those socks are fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the mallards. There's a flock that hangs around here, and they can be a noisy bunch!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen those candies in forever. I see they're in Brach's wrapping. I need to check out the stores and see if I can find them. They're so festive, and great when I just want a "taste" of sometning sweet.
Some lovely Christmassy things here Ida. I love the sweets, they brought back memories of some that my aunt used to give me that were so chewy! I am glad the white stuff has cleared for you, we are about to have a massive storm - oh well, it is winter! Take care xx
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how you have ducks right on your street like that. Wally and LuLu would find them very interesting, too. We do have seagulls once in a while. Rich put up our outside lights, but since our yard is so private we don't do much lawn ornaments. A few things around the front door. The lights look pretty, though.
ReplyDeleteIt is so great that your mom lives next door!
ReplyDeleteToday is Wednesday, December 10th. It is 29 years ago today that my mom passed. Wow.
I love it when one photo could cover them all but I'm glad you chose to find four others to complete the five prompts! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the ducks!! we have one pair that just refuse to leave the local pond -- people feed them, so they just keep paddling until there's no water left to paddle in anymore. ha
ReplyDeletelove your mom's Christmas yard shapes! that is perfect!
I love your Christmas socks and the outdoor decorations. Have a blessed day... :)
ReplyDeleteLove the image of the chewy tree peppermints - A perfect balance between simplicity and elegance.
