These are Moon Flowers. -
Several of you have mentioned that these resemble other plants by the name of Datura or Angel Trumpets. Turns out they are all one and the same plant. Just a lot of different names for them. Apparently they are also poisonous plants.

I really like the comparison between the black and white and the colors. I had a moon flower one year. Such a pretty flower.

ReplyDeletethese are gorgeous blooms! my mom used to have one like this and it only bloomed at night I think. and it just glowed in the moonlight. smelled heavenly too.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Ida! I am absolutely in love with your moon flowers :) I try to grow them every year on my garden fence to no avail. Next year, I'm thinking of trying a different method of growing them in a hanging basket so the vines hang downwards instead of climbing up. Something, usually a garden critter eats my baby plants before they get a chance to grow. I love seeing your garden success with these beautiful flowers, gives me hope. Thank you for sharing!
