Black and White Wednesday




These are Moon Flowers. - Several of you have mentioned that these resemble other plants by the name of Datura or Angel Trumpets.  Turns out they are all one and the same plant.   Just a lot of different names for them.  Apparently they are also poisonous plants.

It's fun to see how different things look in Black and White compared to Color.  Hope you've enjoyed these lovely blooms.

    I love the way flower closes up. These are the things that so glorify our great God.
    His creation is awesome in deed.
    I haven't been around for some time, so I took the time to scroll down and visit awhile. Oh I'm so glad I did! Your little Bandit is precious! I am sure he is warming your heart after the loss of your other cat. You can certainly see that he is content in a home that shows great love. :)

  20. these are gorgeous blooms! my mom used to have one like this and it only bloomed at night I think. and it just glowed in the moonlight. smelled heavenly too.

  22. Oh my goodness Ida! I am absolutely in love with your moon flowers :) I try to grow them every year on my garden fence to no avail. Next year, I'm thinking of trying a different method of growing them in a hanging basket so the vines hang downwards instead of climbing up. Something, usually a garden critter eats my baby plants before they get a chance to grow. I love seeing your garden success with these beautiful flowers, gives me hope. Thank you for sharing!
