Good Fences #72 - Monkey See, Monkey Do

Hello & Welcome.  -  Summer is going by so quickly and while I haven't done anything like travel it's still been a busy one. - Some days I just don't get around to visiting every one's blogs (forgive me) but I try to make sure that I participate in Theresa's meme:
GOOD FENCES

So last week I was telling Coleen that we needed to find some more new fences to share and she started telling me about a fence she had spotted that had cave people or monkeys on it.  Which do you think it was? (Hint, it's in the title of the blog post).

Anyway I decided to see if she could remember where the fence was so we went for a little drive and sure enough she directed me right to it.

It was pretty sunny outside so this first shot isn't the greatest but it shows off all of the fence so without further ado I present.....

Monkey See, Monkey Do!

This is a fun way to dress up a chain link fence for sure.  These monkeys are metal and seem to be having a great time.  Let's take a look at them a little bit closer.

I'm not exactly sure why the one monkey on the gate has a chain on it other then it seems to be chained to the fencing itself but none of the others were so I have no clue why they chain this fellow up.  Maybe he tried to escape!

I love the one on the swing eating the banana.  Aren't they fun!

Here's our little chained monkey up a bit closer.

He seems like a friendly chap.

Does this swinging monkey remind you of Cheetah from the Tarzan movies? I just found an article from 2011 (I know I'm behind the times) which said the Chimp from the Tarzan movies lived to be 80 years old!

These two female monkeys (notice the hair bows) seem to be doing some kind of a dance or else the one on the right has fleas!

Finally....

The fuzzy one on the left appears to be giving directions but the girl on the right (again the hair bow gives her away) seems to be a bit confused.

Maybe she's wondering if hanging around on a fence is more fun then a barrel of monkeys!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There were people in the driveway talking while I was taking pictures,  I felt a bit nervous that they were going to wonder what on earth I was doing with a camera pointed at their house.  At any rate I snapped away and they didn't seem to care.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing this fun chain link fence all decked out with monkeys.  Coleen gets full credit for helping me find this one.

Come back next week to see the other fence we discovered right across the road from this place.  It's a fun one too.

  12. Love the imagination here, yours and theirs. I think this is the neatest fence I've ever seen or maybe I'm so tired of barbed wire out here in south Texas. Looking forward to next week to see what their neighbors came up with.

  38. These are some happy, jolly monkeys on a fence.
At first, I couldn't see any tails and I thought may be they were silverbacks, but then I looked closely to notice a good looking tail.
    Very nice find!
    Never seen anything like this.
    Have a Great Weekend, Ida!
    Peace :)
