Back to School

 Welcome! - Yesterday was the start of school here again for another year.

 

As is my tradition I'm posting Coleen's "back to school" photos.

 

She is starting her Senior Year in High School. - Where has time gone?

 

 She was rushed yesterday so not much time for many pictures.  She just had her hair dyed the day before.

Back to School 2021

 As is tradition around here I took Coleen's back to school shots this morning. - It's hard to believe she is a Junior in High School now.

Here is another tradition...Side by Side comparison from last year.

The first one was her joke outfit since it was "distance learning last year to start with.  Then she put on some regular clothes for the middle shot and finally the shot on the right is what she wore to school this morning.

Seasons - Back To School

It's:  Back To School Season around here.

Today was the 1st Day of School and so it's time for me to share the annual back to school photos of Coleen.

She started Middle School today (6th Grade) and this is the Shirt that the new students received the other day at their Orientation.

 This is the outfit she chose to wear for the first day of school.

She was excited about going to school today. - Yesterday the poor girl had a stomach ache and was sick most of the morning but started feeling better in the afternoon.  Thank goodness because I would have hated for her to miss the first day of school.

As is a "tradition" of mine I like to show (side by side) comparison shots from the previous school year to the current one.

Wow there is a huge change this year.

 

 

Finally a shot of her mom getting ready to drive her to school.  Grandma will do the school pick-up this afternoon.

 



Hard to believe that summer is now over atleast as far as being out of school.  It's still fairly warm here with temps in the 80-90's so we've got summer weather for awhile yet.

Back to School

Well here she is ready to head off to the 4th Grade

There wasn't much enthusiasm this morning about heading back to school.  Seems she wanted just "One More Week of Summer."  Alas that wasn't meant to be so off she went with her mom.

Tuesday Muse - Sept. 3, 2013

Well Labor Day weekend has come and gone and while it's still officially Summer,  Fall is starting to peek around the corner saying,  "Here I Come."

We just celebrated our local Fair and Frontier Days and I'm sharing a shot from the Fair that I took last week when Coleen and I spent the morning there.

And because today is also the official start of the School year I am also sharing Coleen's back to school photos.

I can't believe how fast she is growing up.

 

Well it's also the official start of our Fall Bowling league so wish me luck.

"Whatever" Wednesday - Back to School and Bowling

Here is Coleen with a little gift that Grandma bought her for the "First Day of School."  I like to give her a little something special to help ease the nerves about heading back to school.  She was a little more apprehensive this year about starting back to school so the gift and card really helped to start her morning off on a high note.

               

Here she is posing for Grandma for the "Official" Back to School photo.  I love taking these and seeing how she changes from year to year.  I did the same thing when her mom was a little girl.  Isn't that shirt she's wearing cute.

After her mom dropped her off to school we headed off for the official start of our

Bowling league.

Greta bowls on a different team (same league) then my mom & I.  For not having bowled but just once since April I think I started out pretty decent.

Scores:  153 - 154 - 130 (got a little tired by the end of the third game).  So my starting Average for this year is 145, not bad but I'd like to get it up over 150 this year.
