Edit Me Challenge 9-26-12

This is my 2nd Post today because I nearly forgot that I planned to participate in the current Edit Me Challenge.

If you are here for Scavenger Hunt Sunday please scroll down one post or click on the link:

Here is the photo we were given to edit:   From Larissa at,  www.matthewandlarissa.com

Below is my edited version:

For my version I cropped the original then used the editing tools on PicMonkey to change the tones of the balloon.  I believe that I used the Intrepid effect.  I also overlayed a photo of mine with some Sunset clouds and readjusted the color levels again before deciding that I like it as is.

It was fun joining in on this challenge.

Edit Me Challenge 2012- Wk. 23 Petunia Magic

It's time for another Edit Me Challenge
Edit Me
This week the photo for the challenge is being provided by, Kim from Mom Tried It and a great prize is being offered by Ginger from Literally Inspired

Here is the photo that we were given to edit:

Below is my Edited Version:

Here are the basics of what I did to edit the photo.  I opened the Photo on Pic Monkey and first used the Touch-Up feature to edit out the dirt specks on the Petunia.  Then I used the Clone Tool to add extra Petunia's. I also used the Touch-Up tool to change the color on the dead blossom.  Then I softened  the photo and used the Tranquil Effect.  After that I added a texture.  On Pic Monkey you can upload your own textures.  I chose Kim Klassen's Sunday texture on Hardlight at 50% (I think that is the amount I used but I didn't write down the exact percentage).  I erased the texture off the main flowers and bloom.
Then I saved the photo and went to Pixlr-O-Matic and added the Frame before saving.
You can Click on the Photo's to Enlarge if you want a larger view.

I hope you like the changes that I made. - Please visit the Edit Me Challenge blog to see what others have done with this photo.   Have a great day.

Edit Me 2012 - Week 20

Welcome! - I was browsing through my emails when I noticed one from Nancy (A Rural Journal) about the current Edit Me challenge so I took a peek at the photo and knew that I had to give it a try.  I adore cats and Nancy has some darling ones so how could I not take up the challenge.

Here is the Original Photo:
and below is the version that I edited.

For my version I went to PicMonkey and first Soften the photo a little.  Then I added a small amount of the Urbane feature there to darken the edges of the photo.  Next I added a background texture,
Kim Klassen's Music Lovin texture and erased the texture off the cat and the top of the bench.
Lastly I added the Quote and the Drop Shadow Frame.

Cats and Music are two of my favorite things in life so I thought it was fitting to put them together with the quote I found.  I hope you enjoy my edits.

Leavesnbloom - Edit Me Challenge

Just sitting around catching up on emails when I saw this post at the (Leavesnbloom) blog and thought why not give it a try.  The idea is to use Rosie's photo and edit it then post your edit.  So here is the original photo:

and here is my edited version

I'm horrible about writing down the edits I make in photo's but here is what I did as near as I can recall.
First I open the photo in Gimp and then opened a texture, Etched in Stone (Pixel Dust Photo Art)
and added the texture.  Here's where I messed up as I don't recall exactly what I did as far as adding the texture.  After I added the texture I added the ragged border edge and then saved.  Then I opened the photo in Picnik, used the Lomoish feature and saved again.  Sorry I didn't write this down.  I've got to make a note to start doing this so that I will have it written down when I post photo's.

Anyway you can visit the Edit Me blog to see the other enteries.
