So now it's time to join in with Bonnie (Pixel Dust Photo Art) for Photo Art Friday.
This week the optional theme was: Liquid. I have a couple of different pieces to share today.
Here is my first piece:
I decided not to use any textures with this piece. Instead I adjusted some of the levels of brightness, contrast, etc...on PicMonkey and then used the Intrepid feature to add a bit more drama to the photo. Then added a Drop Shadow and Simple Frame. I love how this turned out.
Next up a piece I did using a photo of one of my Rose Bushes with dewdrops of rain on the leaf. I added Bonnie's texture: Drips of Rainbow Overlay at 60% and added a Museum Mat frame.
Below is the finished piece.
That's it for this week. I hope you'll pop on over to Bonnie's blog and check out the other participants art work.
Both of these are great images, Ida, but I really like the water one! It definitely doesn't need any textures! Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWow! Fantastic job! I like it!
ReplyDeletegreat shots and editing! :)
ReplyDeletegreat drama and clarity in that splash! makes a lovely contrast of liquids with the droplet on the rose
ReplyDeleteThe splash photo is great! Love all the droplets.
ReplyDeleteI would like some apple crisp please. :-) Your liquid image is lovely, great shot and processing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful wet shots. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful water shots there :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice job! I love the drops of the leaf, I always love the way droplets look up close.
ReplyDeleteLove your capture of the big splash, and your edit of the leaf photo is beautiful. Great work! Thank you for sharing with Photo Art Friday.
ReplyDeleteNice work! I love that huge splash!
ReplyDeleteThe last shot is beautiful! and it's wonderful how you could capture the splash!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a momentous capture ... you should be thrilled with it. That picture will bring back the memories of that whole day every time you look at it. I love the leaf with water droplets as well. I have tried and tried to get a droplet with a reflection in it ... all for naught. Yours is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAndrea @ From the Sol
the shape of the watersplash looks like a dress. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture of the splash, lovely shots and edits.
ReplyDeleteIda, these are both lovely...what an awesome capture that was with the pool splash! I love the processing you did on both, and your bowling scores are VERY impressive...I haven't bowled in many years but it's rare for me to break 100. lol :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Hi Ida! I was just wondering where you made your watermark? I need to make one and don't know where to go.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Wondrous!! I love the water magic!!
ReplyDeletethe last image is really pretty - something about it beckons me to stare.
ReplyDeleteThe splash photo is fun--amazing to catch the movement of the water in midair like that. But I find that your photo of the rose leaf with water drops is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented. The shot of Coleen and the water splash is great.
ReplyDeleteI love both images! Great processing on both - with and without textures.
ReplyDeleteLove the splash picture! It has so much texture effect without creating it with the special tools. Looks pretty cool!
