Songography & Sunlit Sunday

Hi, Welcome!  -  Hope you enjoy your stay.

It's time to join Kathy (You'll Shoot Your Eye Out) for SONGOGRAPHY.  This weeks song,   I would Walk 500 Miles (The Proclaimers).  I'll also be joining a new to me Meme today, SUNLIT SUNDAY hosted by Karen (My
Little Home and Garden)

This was not a song that I was familiar with but when I played it my daughter, Greta knew the lyrics so I'm guessing it's a more modern up-to-date type song and of course being stuck in the 70's with Classic Rock songs I'm not up on the latest music.  I know I need to broaden my musical repertoire.  I listened to the song and looked up the lyrics.  Basically a song about a "man" doing whatever he needs to do just to be with you.  So did I go that route with my take, nope.   So here is what I came up with:

I must clarify that I certainly wouldn't take a 500 mile morning walk but I do like taking early morning walks and just think of the benefits that walking gives you.  You get great exercise, you get to enjoy nature, you might even see an occasional kitty out for a morning stroll as well.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Hello, Ida

Welcome to Sunlit Sunday! It's interesting that you're writing about walking because I'll soon be heading out the door to meet a friend for a walk by the lake on this winter day.

Your cat is looking very pretty in the sunshine and seems intent on whatever its mission was at the time.

Thank you for sharing the lovely feline photo this week.

  3. Sometimes just getting to the kitchen in the morning feels like 500 miles... I've always loved that song, and now I have it stuck in my head.

  4. I know that song well - perhaps it's more popular out here than where you are because I still hear it regularly. Thanks for the reminder!

  7. I find if I don't head out early morning I won't get my walk in, I'll get busy through the day and miss out. Weather is getting nice enough for two walks a day.
    Have a great week,
    Cindy

  12. I like this song and I just love your photo. I, too, love a good walk. These days it involves waterproof shoes and old clothes for when we go out tromping with the dogs, but I still love how I feel after.

  16. Hmm, I'd never heard of that song either! Oh well! I like your interpretation of it.

I like walks, too, but I'm more of a late-afternoon person; I don't do mornings!
