Well that's just "ducky!"

Hello!  Just popping in today to share more Ducky Derby shots:

Release the Ducks!!!

 And we're off and swimming...or rather floating.

That's a lot of ducks.

We're in no big hurry here.  Gently floating down the stream...

Splish, Splash they were taking a bath....

 More of the masses as they head towards the finish line.

Look out for turbulence!

The duck catchers await at the finish line.

 Here they come.

And winner!!!

Even though my ducks didn't win any of the prizes (rats!)  it was still a lot of fun to watch and I've seen this race for several years now but it's still an enjoyable event.  Perhaps next year my ducks will win.

Lately this is how I've been feeling.  Like I'm spinning round and round, upside down.  Life gets so busy sometimes you barely have time to breath but in the end it all seems to work out and then you wonder what all the fuss was about.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday - May 18, 2014

                                          Hello & Welcome.

Today I'm joining Ashley (Ramblings and Photos) for
SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY

So let's get started with the Scavenger Hunt.

Today was the annual Ducky Derby here in Walla Walla so all photos today were taken at the Derby.

ANIMALS:  Okay this is just 1 animal but there were goats, a pony,  some cute little puppies and "Izzy" the camel there for the kids to pet.

IN THE SHADE:  Well we weren't exactly in the shade but Coleen did have a Sun Hat on to "shade" her eyes while she held this adorable little puppy that was up for adoption at the Derby.

FROM BEHIND:  This is the view from behind the Dump Truck just before the ducks were dumped into the creek.

five of those ducks were one's I bought in hopes of winning the race.  Sadly once again my ducks did not win.  Oh well the proceeds go towards a good cause and it's fun to watch them race so it was worth it.

ON THE GROUND:  When we first arrived at the Derby a Kids Race was being held and these Pinwheels were on the ground/track area marking the race.

BUGS/BLOSSOMS:  In this case how about a duck/blossom.  Coleen won this in one of the kid activities at the race.

Good Fences #8

Wow this month has been "flying" by so quickly.  I have been super busy (lots of work in the flower beds) and have had little time for blogging. :o(
Anyway I wanted to join in on Good Fences hosted by Theresa from, (The Run-a-Round Ranch Report) today.

My fence is a pretty common fence around here.  I've seen several homes with this same type of fencing.  I rather like it though and loved the way this fence curves around the yard.  I've included a color photo (this was taken last fall) and also converted the photo to black and white.  Which is your favorite?

This weekend the 40th Annual Hot Air Balloon Stampede is taking place here in Walla Walla.  Sadly the weather is probably not going to cooperate for Balloon launches, It's raining right now.  But yesterday a couple of balloons did go up and I captured this shot of one.  There were no clouds in the sky but I added some to the photo.

Next:  ORANGE YOU GLAD IT'S FRIDAY

I spotted a house with an Orange door while out driving one afternoon.  I thought it was rather unusual and I liked the orange brick on the house and also the reddish/orange tones of the tree and bushes surrounding the house.
