Tuesday Muse - Horse Fashion

Good Day! - Joining in with Nancy (A Rural Journal) for Tuesday Muse.

These pictures were taken earlier this year when Coleen and I went to the annual Cowboy Breakfast and Kid's Rodeo.  We decided to look through the horse stalls and discovered some horse with "fashion sense"

Pretty snazzy dressers don't you think!

Cattitude Monday - Guitar Kitty

Happy Monday! -  If you are here for SHS click on the link.

I'm back again with some more cat photo's for Cattitude Monday.  My hubby plays guitar and was sitting down practicing one night when Callie-Jo decided to get in on the action.  He said she started out using her paws to try and strum the guitar but I didn't get any shots of that.  When he called me in to come watch this is what I captured.

I'm not sure what song she was trying to play but it sure was funny to watch her!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday - June 2, 2013

Hello! -  Hope you have had a great week.  It's been pretty decent here for the most part.  No real major disaster's to deal with and halfway decent weather.  -  So without further ado let's get on with Scavenger Hunt Sunday. - This week Ashley left it wide open for the prompts.  It's Photographer's Choice for all 5 prompts.  Easy peasy huh!  -  Click to Enlarge photo's.

#1 - It's our pug, Cricket.  It's so hard to get her to stand still for pictures so when I get a decent one I'm excited about it.  Plus in this shot I got her curly little tail which I find adorable.  Love how shiny her coat looks in this shot.

#2 - Flowers from my garden.  This one is a Wartburg Star Aster (there are geraniums, petunia's and marigolds in the background.)

#3 - Some wild grasses and a local fishing pond.

#4 - A view taken from the park where the fishing pond is located.  The building in the background is the Fair Pavilion building.  Off to the left a bunch of kids were playing soccer at the Middle school and our Blue Mountains are in the background as well.  Pretty scene.

#5 - I've always wanted to attend a Roller Derby match and thankfully we have a local team here in Wally World called the,  Walla Walla Sweets and tonight was their opening match.  Sadly the team lost 146-155 in the last 45 seconds of the match.  Better then the Junior Team which played prior to the adults.  They got their butts whooped.

Don't forget to stop by Ashley's blog and check out the other participants entries for the Hunt.  Have a great week.

Orange You Glad It's Friday #40

Happy Friday! - Won't you join me over on Maria's blog, (Life's Sweet and Spices) for Orange You Glad It's Friday.

I was out taking some photo's awhile ago and decided to snap a few of one of the lilies next to my mom's storage shed.  Just as I was snapping away a small fly landed on the petals.  I thought it looked pretty against the orange color of the lily so here is my submission.

Enjoy your weekend!  Don't forget to check out the other participants entries.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday - May 26, 2013

Welcome to SHS -  For those in the U.S.  I hope you have been enjoying your Memorial Day holiday weekend.

This weeks prompts are:  Vacation (what's that?),  Food, Sound, Texture and Anything.  - Click to Enlarge Photos for more detail.

VACATION:  We haven't taken a real vacation in several years.  Most of our vacations consist of 1 day trips like the little jaunt we took on Saturday up to my brother's cabin in the mountains.

Coleen is enjoying the view from the balcony and a vacation away from home.

FOOD(S):  My brother and his wife served up some great burgers and fixings.

SOUND:  This one is a bit of a stretch or maybe not...

One of the views from his property.

TEXTURE:
A portion of their fire pit area.  I like the contrast of the burnt wood/coals with the rusted metal rim and the concrete background and twigs.  Lots of different texture there.

ANYTHING:
I decided on this little wild flower for my "anything" shot as I have not seen anything like this before today.  It could have been used for texture too, just look at the feather like fuzz on the petals.

A Bonus Shot of Coleen with the Mushrooms (Morel's) that my brother helped her find.
