This weeks prompts were: In a Row, Salty, Sweet, Sitting Down, and Just Because
Lets get started on this hunt:
IN A ROW:
Coleen and I stopped at the High School this week so I could take a picture of something else and then I spotted this out in the field and figured it would work great for the "In a Row" prompt. This is one of those things they use for football practice. I have no idea what they are called though.
SALTY: This one is a BIG stretch...
Tiny little flakes of salt or rather snow on Eric the cats head remind me of salt so that counts, right?
SWEET:
SITTING DOWN:
I snapped this shot of Helix sitting down in the snow this week. He doesn't seem to mind being out in the cold but then again that's all the life he's ever known as his owners don't bring him in out of the cold and no he's bascially on his own. We feed him and try to make sure there are blankets in our shed to help keep the outside kitties warm during the winter.
JUST BECAUSE:
I spotted this tree when I took Coleen to her piano lessons and had to snap a picture of it, "just because" it was so gorgeous.
So that's it for this week. If you want to join in the fun next week here are the prompts.
I like your "snow on the kitty" photo. The fall color tree is very nice too. Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous tree!!!!!!
ReplyDeletegorgeous tree and i would have thrown a hard cookie away to... i don't know what those things are called either but they are in a row. so perfect. and yes we will let you slide by on the salt. LOL
ReplyDeletesorry the cookie was a 'turkey'. (ha ha!)
ReplyDeletebeautiful tree! stay warm, helix!
Lovely shots of the cats and the tree! Too bad about the cookie!
ReplyDeleteNice interpretations Ida! That tree is gorgeous. It is odd to see people with snow on the ground. We got snow once last year and I am hoping we'll get some again. See you next week. Condolences to Colleen on the cookie, but it was cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot for in a row. The fall shots are so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYou took some great photos. The tree is really colorful and of course, I love seeing Coleen and the cats.
ReplyDeleteI like the salty flakes!
ReplyDeleteI think they call it a blocking sled.
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful tree. You took a picture of it so it is your tree.
Good on you for taking care of the outside cats.
Lovely pics. Poor Helix is lucky to have you looking out for him, Ida :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tree! Nice to see Colleen with the cookie :)
ReplyDeleteThose are so fabulous Ida, and had me smiling thru the whole post. Oh my goodness is Coleen ever growing up. I remember getting to know you a couple, (maybe three) years ago now and she was still such a little girl. (I remember that one sweet picture of her swinging on that swing and being so full of joy.) She's a little lady now. Feeling a little sad for Helix and the other outdoor cats. I'm so glad you leave them the blankets and a way to get into the shed. That's so very good of you. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and your next week will be even better.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Gorgeous tree, and the little sprinkling of salt on Eric is perfect!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so creative! Maybe the "Salt" one is a stretch, but the snow on your kitty's little head is precious. :-) And your granddaughter is very sweet looking. Too bad the cookie wasn't as good as it looked.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame to have to throw away such a pretty cookie. I like your interpretation of salty. I don't know what the things in a row are called but I think they use them to practice tackling.Love, love, love that tree in your just because photo!
ReplyDeleteThat tree is on fire!
ReplyDeleteFunny to see your kitty sitting in the snow. That tree is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI need to get back to doing the SHS! The snow flakes on kitty are so cute! What a great capture! As for that cookie, it looks delish but I've noticed that sometimes those pretty cookies are only pretty, not tasty! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, what an amazing and highly colorful tree that is! All your photos are just perfectly sweet too....the kitty cats are purr-fectly wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great reason for photographing that tree!
ReplyDeleteOh, poor Helix! I'm glad you help him out a bit. I wonder why Coleen's cookie was so hard!
ReplyDeleteI love the dusting of snow on the cat. I can totally see that as "salty." Coleen is always adorable. What big eyes she has! Great set.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit at my place. We were of the same mind when it came to "salt!" ;-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't played this meme in so long... :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the tree shot - gorgeous!
I like that name Helix. Beauty.
ReplyDeleteI love your cat photos!
ReplyDeleteHelix is similar in coloring to my kitty. Cept he has tail and mine does not. LOL about the cookie. It is cold here fr the /s/o/u/t/h/-as in our daytime high might be 50 and we have a freeze warning for tonight.
ReplyDeleteThat tree is *gorgeous*. Had internet trouble which is why I am late in commenting.

ReplyDeleteGreat shots! How disappointing that the cookie was too hard to eat, though. Bummer!
ReplyDeleteI think the "snow salt" is perfect! :)
