GOOD FENCES.
A couple of weeks ago I posted some fence shots taken at Bennington Lake.
You can view that post HERE
Coleen and I went back to the lake again last Thursday while she was on break for school Conferences. I took more fence shots and thought I'd share them today.
We walked up the trail to that bench that was featured in the previous post.
Here is Coleen sitting on the bench and there is a hint of a barbed wire fence in the background of the shot.
Further up the trail I took these shots.
Coming back down the trail.
Later in another section of the lake I spotted some runners heading towards a small bridge crossing.
I like this shot because of the way they were lined up going down the trail, the guys shirt saying and the fact there are fences in the background.
Finally a stand alone shot of the fence railing across the little bridge.
That's it for this edition of Good Fences. If you stop by Theresa's blog you'll find links to many more great fence shots. Have fun.
i like the muted colors in these! and i always love grasses and seed heads!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely counts as fences. So cool that Colleen enjoys hiking with you -- beautiful weather there now. I love that boys T-Shirt saying... He has the right idea.

Looks like the kids liked it:) Beautiful pics of your "fence" trip!
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to join this meme soon - I am obsessed with the fence in the field across from my house. I have taken way too many pictures of it.

ReplyDeleteLovely fences today! Colleen is just precious and I love all the dried grasses and teasel. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteIsn't it strange how autumn colors are? I LOVE the color of the grasses around her, at the bench -- a perfect straw color. It's just lovely. And then the black and brown seed heads -- just lovely! Very nice shots. I love the muted tones of autumn as things are dying away, combined with the brilliancy of the sky.
ReplyDeleteI like these shots, and especially the thistles in the first two shots. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat fences. Such a nice place to walk. Looks like everyone was enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteThe runners make the fences special and vice versa. Nicely done!
ReplyDeletePeace :)
Beautiful shots. Love the look and feel of each one.
ReplyDeleteYou did very well. I noticed a fence in almost every shot. I love the quote on the back of that young man's shirt-"The best is yet to Come"
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pleasant place for an autumn walk (or jog)!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea Ida! I think I should go around, and have a fence day! I even have several in my own yard!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Ida! I love the ones taken at fence-level, showing the hay (?) around the fence.
ReplyDeleteSo nice... You such an artistic eye! I do have to say that photo #1 touched my heart.
ReplyDeleteAs I said before, this is becoming one of my favorite posts. I find myself looking for interesting fences all the time now -- fancy fences, broken down fences. I'm going to have to carry my camera with me more often. Thanks for these inspiring photos!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful shots, Ida! The hint of barbed wire fence in the background adds a dreamy mood as Coleen sits so peacefully on the bench. And yes, the bridge railing absolutely counts as fencing. Interesting that two different runners had the same slogan on their shirt.. perhaps a uniform. Anyhow, lovely post with all photos beautifully thought out.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely shots for the meme, Ida
