SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY.
This weeks prompts were: Autumn, Leaves, Boots,
Hot Beverage, Game.
AUTUMN: This is my favorite season of the year and I just love it when I find scenes like this one.
This is the spillway on Millcreek at Rooks Park. The same place I photographed the Great Egret last week.
LEAVES: Of course I could have gone with some fall colors for leaves but instead I found these while out on a little photo shoot around town.
Varigated leaves are some of my favorites and I like the stone pillar with the lichen that they are resting up against.
BOOTS: You've got to love an Ox wearing boots.
This bronze statue sits in Pioneer Park. - I convereted this shot to black and white and really like how it turned out.
HOT BEVERAGE: I so wanted something really cool for this shot but just could not get a photo I really liked and was running out of time so you have to settle for this:
Hot Apple Cider. I wanted to include a Cinnamon stick but at $7.00 for a small bottle with about 3-4 cinnamon sticks inside I decided the cider would just go without it.
GAME: Coleen and her new dad, Kelly like to play different games. Here they are enjoying a game of Battleship together.
We have awful lighting in our living room so you this isn't exactly the best shot but it fits the prompt.
It was a hard week for me with a couple of the prompts. Maybe next week will be better.
Next weeks prompts for those who want to play along are:
So that's it for this hunt. I hope you've enjoyed your stay. Be sure to stop by Ashley's blog and check out the other participants. Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteLovely autumn colors in that first shot. The ox boots made me laugh. At first glance I thought it was a childs toy and b& w was a good choice. Colleen has an interesting expression on her face...
ReplyDeleteMy boots shot was like your cider shot...was running out of time and did not have time to take a better one.
Delightful. I also got a kick out of the dueling bathers.
ReplyDeleteIda, I love the textures in the variegated plant with the rock. Lovely. And I count six cats on your side bar. Do you currently have them all, and a dog? I'm a cat person. We have two.

ReplyDeleteHa! I smiled when I saw the "boots." Thanks for posting the prompts for last week. I forgot to get them and I need to think about them. :)
ReplyDeleteYou always find the best images for those prompts! I especially love that first image with the rich earthy colors...but that hot apple cider sure looks good too!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, Ida. My Emi loves playing battleships as well. I love the idea of hot cider. It sounds brilliant on a cold autumn day. I'll definitely have to try some. I buy my spices in the Asian shops in West Ealing. We have a large immigrant community there who have the best shops and everything is really well priced. Maybe you have a similar community in your area. Their produce shops are better-priced than our supermarkets. All the best, Bonny
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful that spillway photo is! :)
