First up: Six Word Fridays hosted by Adrienne at My Memory Art. The theme this week was: Drink.
Drink oh soul
on Nature's Wine
Fruits of Autumn
Ripen on Vine
Drink until you've
had your fill
Alas my friend
You never will.

(This shot was taken at the car show I attended I thought it fit the prompt.)
Next let's visit Tanya (Around Roanoke) for Willy-Nilly Friday Five.1. I have been spotting unusual things when I set out on little photo hunts around the town. I discovered these one day last week.
Aren't they fun!
2. Anyone watch the new season of DWTS? - Is it just me or is this bunch just not all that exciting to watch. Normally I recognize a lot of the people they get as the "Stars" but this time around I had no clue to about half of them. I mean an "Internet Vlogger/Blogger" is a Star?
Another find from around town.
3. Browsing around for something different to write about I discovered some funny and interesting facts. Here are a couple of them I liked:
In a study of 200,000 ostriches over a period of 80 years, no one reported a single case where an ostrich buried its head in the sand.
In every episode of Seinfeld there is a Superman somewhere. Now I'm going to have to watch old reruns and look for that Superman.
23% of all photocopier faults worldwide are caused by people sitting on them and photocopying their butts. Why would anyone want to do that!
4. Another of my attempts at Black and White Photography. This one is different. It's a shadow of a plant on the sidewalk. What do you think about the composition etc...feedback is appreciated.
5. Of course we can't have Friday go by without a cat photo so once again here is some "Cat Art" shared with Feline Art.

Finally let's join Hillary (Feeling Beachie) for Follow Friday For Fill-In Fun.
The statements:- During_____, I______
- While I like_____, I wouldn’t______
- Reading while______, is______
- Why would anyone______
My answers:
1. During my growing up years, I wanted to be an Actress.
2. While I like the ocean, I wouldn't want to live there (bad for Asthma)
3. Reading while riding in a car, is hard for me now. I get car sick. I didn't as a child though so I wonder why I do now.
4. Why would anyone read my blog? - Okay I couldn't think of anything for this one and that's the first thing that popped into my head.
Have a great weekend and thanks again for stopping by.
Fun post! Those cats are great!
ReplyDeleteI love the shot of the grapes Yum! And who doesn't love flamingoes? You find them out on lawns in the classy parts of town! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeletethe grapes look delicious! ( :
ReplyDeletethe kitty photo is precious.. and the kitty art is beautiful. your first two photos are extraordinary.. gorgeous is what they are.
ReplyDeletei like that patch of flamingos!
ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone NOT Want to read your blog...usually something fun/interesting here...or nice pictures. Did you take those first two? Never mind I see they have your copyright on them... They are really awesome. Of course I love the morning glories shot...
ReplyDeleteLike the cat shots...and have you seen the videos of Maru? Yep, spelled Maru....if not, go to You Tube and type Maru in the search...he LOVES boxes. Just happened to look him up last night and now he had a buddy.
Aww, the two kitties are sweet. They get so absorbed in their bathing ritual, they tune out everything.
ReplyDeleteoh i love the black/white/shadow, awesome!! how funny about the ostrich, who knew?! and about superman...we watched seinfeld every week back then and i can't picture one single superman in it...now i'm going to have to watch some reruns! love those flamingos! have a great weekend and thank you for linking :)
ReplyDeleteThe poem and photo of the grapes is just beautiful! Full of color and vigor.
ReplyDeleteWe grow grapes in our orchard and right now I'm enjoying the sweet grape fragrance that fills the air. So delicious!
Love your poem and your photos! Beautiful! The B&W photo is great. I would make the suggestion of removing the straw or match near the center before taking the shot, because it draws the eye there and distracts from the design. The design is great!
ReplyDeleteThose first two shots are excellent!Great color and sharpness.
ReplyDeleteI like the composition of your b & w photo but it does look a bit blurry to me. is it the pavement? I know some pavements can give photos that blurry look.
Wonderful bathers. I liked how close they are sitting to each other...best buddies.
Well, I read your blog because it is nice and friendly! I love your pictures, too. In fact, I really love the photo and grape/wine poem today! Very nice. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove that black and white photo of the branch. Also the cat one is terrific. Great pictures. We enjoyed all of them. You all have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSome interesting thoughts in your post. I don't watch DWTS until pretty late in the season, and I usually don't know some of the contestants anyway. Your flamingos are lovely. The cat bath is cute.
ReplyDeleteAnswer: because it's fun and interesting!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday. Wonderful collection of images and thoughts.. I love the cute kitties. And the shadow shot..I will have to catch a rerun of Seinfeld. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteI can answer No. 5 -- for me it is because of your lovely pictures and I enjoy your musings too! Enjoyed today's very much -- Except now I really do want to watch old Seinfeld reruns again -- and I don't have time!!! I agree with you to DWTS but I probably won't stop watching it (it is honestly the only network show that I make it a point to see. Well really the only show at all. Blogging has turned me into a mouse potato and I don't have time for TV!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so darn cute and sweet! I adore the bathing kitties….wow, they are blessed with dexterity.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Beautiful shot of the grapes and I like the shadow!
ReplyDeleteSome pictures with beautiful light and color under the lights of the early days of autumn, wonderful grapes, wonderful flamingos!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is amazing! Enjoyed your answers to the fill in the blanks, too. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteI get sick if I read in the car too...
ReplyDeleteI have no idea why anyone would sit on a photocopier! Weird and not too bright. Those morning glories are such a lovely shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteBlessings....

#3 - I have the same issue now. I never use to get sick while reading in the car, now I find if I am reading an actual book, it is very likely I will. My ereader is fine though. ????
ReplyDeleteLove the grapes shot!! the colours are amazing. by contrast, the black and white of the plant shadow is really interesting too.
I like reading your blog!! :)
Wow, you have a busy Friday! I love the first image of the grapes...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteoh those grapes look yummy
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE all blogs...and why wouldn't we read yours. It is a very nice blog. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your photos.
Reading in a car made me ill when I was younger and not now. That is so funny you are the opposite.
ENJOY the rest of your Sunday.

My Follow Friday Four Fill-In
I love reading in the car! I'm usually the one driving, though, so don't get to do it nearly as often as I did when I was a kid. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the photos in your post!
Have a great week. :)
As you can see I've gotten behind in my visiting again. Trying to get better about that. You take the most amazing photos and I don't want to miss any of them. The first is simply stunning and, of course, I love the kitties!
ReplyDeleteYou're such a good photographer. The grapes are excellent! I do like the B&W photo -- I like the texture of the sidewalk -- it adds to the photo, the grittiness. And your kitties are so cute :) I like how one has his arm stretched up.
