A water fountain in Rooks Park. - Because I enjoy seeing life in color too I'm sharing both shots. - Which do you like better and why?
The fountain takes on a whole different look in Black and White vs color.
ReplyDeleteYour b&w photo is great!
ReplyDeleteI usually prefer colour to black-and-white, but in these photos the latter emphasizes so nicely the form. It's a very cute water fountain!
ReplyDeleteI am a color person, maybe because all family fotos were black and white back in the 50's and 60's.. but i do like Black and white, just prefer color most of the time.. i love the orange leaf and it looks like it is in a shadow box ready to hang on the wall
ReplyDeleteLove the water fountain in BW ~ great composition!
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you!

Great photos, Ida! The leaves in the water is so very pretty :)
ReplyDeletecool water fount. i really like the first image.
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic photos, Ida! The autumn leaf like it very much, but also the fountain of the water fountain has a special charm! The black and white shot I like better than the color!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your nice comments, I was very happy!
Greetings, Joana
I love this delicious leave over water, nice design!
ReplyDeleteA couple of beautiful shots there Ida! I'm going over to Create with Joy now. xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! The big brightly colored leaf on top of the water, with a drop...is so cool... So you have had rain too?
ReplyDeleteSun here today!
Blessings,
I favor the way black and white photos call more attention to textures, shading and details.
ReplyDeleteI love the leaf photo and I think I like the black and white slightly better. I think the shape is very nice and it stands out more in b&w.
ReplyDeleteI like the leaves in the water!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing Black and White photos - sometimes you see more details and texture in a whole different way.. nicely done
ReplyDeleteHugs
I like the picture of the leaf, very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe other one I like both versions.
Both photos are awesome! Love the b/w for the nostolgia, the colored one is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBlessing,
Gert
I love color.. The leaf shot is gorgeous.. But, the fountain looks good in B&W! Enjoy your evening..
ReplyDeleteThat leaf is a great picture. I too, like both the black and white version and the color version of the fountain. You have a great evening.
ReplyDeletethanks, for all the sweet comments today. i love the fall leaves. ( :
ReplyDeletecurious - maybe i missed something or ? why is the fountain so low to the ground?
Hi Ida,
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I just prefer the color version of the water fountain. I always seem to take the minority position. Oh well!
amazing the difference in the fountain between the colour and the b&w shot -- both are great, but the b&w really does make it interesting.
ReplyDeleteLove love love the leaf image, Ida!
ReplyDeleteOh, my wordless, the leaf photo is incredible! I like how the B&W embraces the simple architecture of the water fountain.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos! I love the black and white the best. I don't know why...it just appeals to me! Have a great week's end, my Dear. xo Karen
ReplyDeletegreat shot!
ReplyDeleteHi Ida! The leaf in the water is breath-taking! Your photos are always so inspiring and I appreciate you sharing them. Hugs and blessings!
ReplyDeleteI can never tire of autumn leaves. The fountain does very well in B&W
ReplyDeletethe b&w image is so pretty and i love the image of the single leaf!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the leaf shot:). I like the b & w better of the fountain because you can see the spout and handle better. The color one those details are overwhelmed by the color....but I am an amateur so take it for what it's with.
ReplyDeleteI like color and black and white.
ReplyDeleteGreat takes.
I like the b&w version of the water fountain. I like the first shot also.
ReplyDeleteI like the b&w version of the water fountain. I like the first shot also.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good choice for b/w - I'm finding it hard to take color out of my photos at this time of year! The simple structure of the fountain is more remarkable in b/w. Thanks for linking up!
