Good Fences - October 9, 2014

Welcome! - It's been a beautiful fall week here in "Wally World" (aka Walla Walla, WA) I hope it's been nice where you live too.

So let's join in with Theresa from, The Run-a-round Ranch Report for her super fun Meme,
GOOD FENCES.  Today I'm sharing a "mixed" bunch of fence shots from fences I've seen while out and about.

I spotted this one while out getting pictures of the "Triangle Roof tops" featured recently on SHS (Scavenger Hunt Sunday).
I took the shot through the bars of the outside fence so you can see them in the photo, they are the "blurred" portion of the picture.  What I liked about this fence was the "rust" on the metal bars.

I spotted this cute little white picket fence and gate.  I love the way the rungs stair step and the fun little pattern at the top of the fencing.

Coleen and I went to get take-out Pizza one afternoon for dinner and while driving to the Pizza place we discovered something we wanted to take a picture of so I pulled over and we walked around the neighborhood taking a few pictures.  We spotted this fence so of course I had to get pictures.  I wanted some different angles so here are the two I took.

More to come next week.  -  Don't forget to join in on the fun by stopping by Theresa's blog (click on the link above) and check out the other great fences.

  3. You've captured some wonderful fences and as much as I love wrought iron, I envy those who have a white picket fence across the front of their property.

  4. Hi Ida,
    These fences are so pretty.

    Peace :)

  5. My favorite are the wrought iron fences. The white fences are pretty but they are not very sturdy and I see quite often in my area that they are easily damaged.

  7. Great photos Ida, and I do love that rusty old fence in your photo but they are all lovely. It's been a wonderful Fall week here in Virginia also. As I am typing I look outside and watch the leaves falling off the tree which hangs over our deck. It will be time to sweep up eventually but I'm enjoying them right now. Have a great day :)

  14. I like the rust on the first one. Wrought iron is always cool and usually quite intricate.

  23. Oh my goodness, they are all so lovely it'd be hard to pick just one. Although for me, anything with stone work or brick usually wins over everything!

  25. Loving your fences! The white one looks quite stately and the iron fences have their own charm. Like you, I like the rust--it gives character to the fence.

  32. You caught some beauties here. I caught a bunch of great ones in Portland, Maine a few weeks ago. Haven't had a chance to go through them all to choose the best ones yet.

They just don't make fences like they used to. (I hate those dull plastic things.)

You can see my fence for this week here: http://proartz.blogspot.com/2014/10/good-fences-10914-along-walking-trail.html
