Willy Nilly Friday Five - Two Weeks worth

Thank you to everyone who wished me well on my Cataract surgery this week. - I am happy to report it was a HUGE success.

Now on to WILLY NILLY FRIDAY FIVE  hosted by Tom The Backroads Traveller.  - I'm doing last week & this week in this post.

1. Spotted this bush out on a walk. - You could almost call it a, Burning Bush.

2. Saw some deer on a drive recently.  The one in the front had a hurt leg.  You can see she's holding it up off the ground.

3. Squirrel leftovers? - Maybe someone picked it and was doing the loves me, loves me not routine.  Who knows but it caught my attention.

4. Brightly colored oak leaves.  Both are from the same tree.

5. These ducks were out and about for a little swim in a creek near the oak tree.

6.  A little train graffiti

7.  Some cheery daisies on a drizzly day.

 8.  Pumpkins for the kids

9.  Mushroom - They seem to be popping up all over the place.
10.  My mom loved to put up little decorative flags so after she passed away & my daughter moved into the house she is carrying on the tradition and bought this little flag to display.

That's it for me this week. - Leaving you with a song that is fitting for me this week.

Seasons - A Warm Fall Outing

It's been a busy week (when isn't it anymore) so I haven't had much time for blogging.

Saturday I took a trip out to Whitman Mission for a photo hunt for another Meme I participate in and discovered the changing seasons at the mission.

I'm sharing a few photos today from that outing. - Click to Enlarge Photos

Nothing better then being able to share the outing with my Granddaughter, Coleen.

                                  The Whitman Memorial Shaft

                                                   Native Grasses

                                          Autumnal Leaves

Turtles basking in the warm sunshine

A lone tree in a nearby farmers field with the Blue mountains in
                                             the background.

Just a pleasant outing on an Autumn day as the seasons start to change.

Don't forget to stop by Jesh's blog and check out the other participants of SEASONS

Willy Nilly Friday Five

Hi! - I've been absent from participating in
WILLY-NILLY FRIDAY FIVE for a few weeks and thought I'd join in again today.  WNFF is hosted by Tanya (Around Roanoke).

Here are 5 Things and some photos that I'm thankful for today.

1.   I'm thankful that when I slipped last night trying to "herd" cats to the bedroom and fell into our dishwasher I only bruised my hand and didn't break anything.  I'm also thankful no one (especially my hubby) saw what happened.  I'm sure it was pretty comical as I had one cat in my arms and was trying to move one with my foot when I accidentally stepped on her tail, she yowled, I dropped the cat I was carrying, slipped on the floor and banged hard into the kitchen counter and dishwasher.  Cats went running every direction.  I bet it was quite the sight.

2.  Speaking of cats....I'm thankful to enjoy cuteness like this every day.

Bandit & Pepper on the Left - Bandit and Spooky-boo on the Right.

3.  I'm thankful for this sweet girl.  She's a joy (most of the time) to have around.

Recovering after her surgery last week.

4.  I'm thankful for this little dog, and a halfway decent photo of myself.  You will notice Coleen is the photographer for this photo.  This was taken during one of our nature/photo walks a few weeks ago.

Me & Pixie (my mom's dog)

5.  I'm thankful for time to relax, time to work, time to play, time to reflect...well you get the picture.

The "Tick-Tock" balloon that was at the Balloon Stampede in October.

Bonus Photo since I mentioned being thankful for colorful fall foliage yesterday.   I spotted 3 very different and yet colorful leaves in our driveway.  I picked them up and arranged them on the sidewalk for a little photo shoot so I could enjoy their color a little longer.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday - October 12, 2014

It's time to join Ashley (Ramblings and Photos) for
SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY

This weeks prompts were:
Details, Friend, Comfort, Above and New.

This week was a bit challenging for sure.

DETAILS:

I just like all the "details"  in this shot from the color of the leaves and grass to the texture of them and the sidewalk.

FRIEND:

I managed to snap one quick (but not great) shot of this girl and her horse coming down the trail at Bennington Lake.  I'm sure they are truly "friends" with each other.

COMFORT:  This was a toughie.

Our cat Dottie likes to pet herself - She is not bathing here.  She'll lay on the floor and rub her paw on her face and roll around and purr.  It's really cute to watch her.  We think she finds "comfort" in doing this.

ABOVE:  I heard some honking the other day and just happened to have my camera in hand.  As I looked up this was what was "above" me.

NEW:   Every year I like to add something "new" to my Halloween or Christmas decorations.  The crow is new this year.

So that's it for this weeks hunt.  I hope you enjoyed it.  Don't forget to check out the other participants.

In case you want to join in on the fun.  Here are the prompts Ashley has listed for next weeks hunt.

Book, Mail, Star, Saturated and Wall.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday - November 3, 2013

Participating again in SONGOGRAPHY and SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY.  Click on the link to be taken to the correct post if you are visiting for one or the other.

Welcome! -  Let's go on a hunt together....Yes it's time for,
Scavenger Hunt Sunday - Courtesy of Ashley (Ramblings and Photos).
This weeks prompts:

Dress Up, Candy, Pumpkin, Spooky & Orange - Click to Enlarge Photos.

DRESS UP:  Well we just celebrated Halloween here in the U.S. and there were lots of people dressed up for the occasion but how about we check out some furry critters all dressed up to celebrate the day.

Greta bought Cricket a Shrimp costume for Halloween (She didn't care much for wearing it so it was hard getting a good photo.)  We put last years Witch hat on Callie-Jo and she actually let me take her picture.  Don't they look silly all dressed up for Halloween!

CANDY:  I should have taken a picture of all the left-over candy we had since we hardly had any kids trick-or-treat but I didn't.  Instead I saw something the other day on trying to name what candy it was by looking at a picture.  So can you figure out what 4 candy bars are in this photo?

(Starting top L - Almond Joy, Milky Way
bottom L - Reese's Peanut Butter Cup,  Baby Ruth)

PUMPKIN:  Saw this one downtown on Halloween night (texture added)

Saw these a couple of houses down from our house:

SPOOKY:

One of the many decorations we spotted around town.  I think this guy is creepy and spooky.

ORANGE:  You get another "two-fer" for this as I couldn't decide which one I liked the most.

Some gorgeous orange oak leaves

or:

Coleen and Cuddles asleep in a chair.

Have a great day and don't forget to check out the other participants.
