Oh my gosh it seems like I only post here about once a month anymore. I have a bunch of stuff that I haven't posted so maybe I'll start trying to do a few more posts in the near future.
Anyway we decided to put up some outside Halloween decorations this year. Normally we usually carve pumpkins but in recent years we just haven't had time, patience or the desire to do so.
So instead this year I purchased this:
Didn't tell hubby about it until it was about to arrive, I wanted it to be a surprise. - The surprise was on me though when I showed him another one and he said, "Go ahead and get it!"
Welcome! Lets have a little fun today and join in with Awww Mondays with Sandee over on Comedy Plus.
Today I'm sharing a few Halloween Left Over photos since they were taken yesterday.
Hubby took me out to show me this display in a yard that he saw because he knew I would enjoy seeing it and he was right.
Also along the way we spotted this display:
My daughter and her family decided to dress up as characters from, Little Red Riding Hood.
Little Red Riding Hood, The Big Bad Wolf, The Huntsman and Grandma.
Finally just Little Red Riding Hood by herself. This is my granddaughter, Joelle who we called, (Red) for a nickname. She made a cute, Little Red Riding Hood.
Hello! - Well it's been a couple of weeks again since I've posted but I'm back today to join Tom (The Backroads Traveller) for: WILLY-NILLY FRIDAY FIVE
1. This past week I took my granddaughter and her friend to the local Corn Maze. - Didn't get any pictures because we went at night but though you might enjoy this little video of this years maze. Click on the link:
It was a lot of fun. We had to ask for a couple of hints to get out but for the most part we did the maze on our own. Took us about an hour to get in and back out.
2. Coleen is really into Skeletons this year and I spotted this on the Whitman College Campus so I decided to take her to see it. After we got there though she informed me that she'd already seen it on a field trip to the campus, bummer! Still it made for a great photo to share. They do have some "strange" art work on the campus.
3. This weeks Black and White Shot and a colored version as well.
4. Some Halloween fun spotted out and about.
5. Fall is still in glorious color. I liked the way the sun was shining on this tree and the leaves on top of the roof.
6. Spotted this on a drive this morning.
7. It's Balloon Stampede Week here in town. So far this is my favorite shot that I've taken of the balloons. More to come in another post.
So in honor of our Balloon Stampede I'm leaving you with this musical selection.
Click to enlarge photos: - This first one is yucky so if you are squeamish don't look.
1. A few weeks ago my hubby was working on some table tops sanding the old finish off of them so they could be refinished. - He came inside and yelled out that I needed to take him to the hospital. Seems he set the sander down and went to pick it up and somehow hit the switch back on....
Took that finger nail completely off! - It's healed up now but looks pretty weird since the nail is gone. It could have been so much worse but this still looks pretty gross.
2. We have had a beautiful fall this year. Here is one of my favorite trees in town. - It turns this gorgeous red color and it's the only one right there that changes color but it looks so pretty with the other trees.
3. I've been baking again. Tried out this recipe for Brown Sugar Pecan Cookies and boy were there delicious.
4. Coleen spotted a moth on my mom's porch one morning. We decided to put it on some flowers and while we were moving it it landed right on Coleen's chest. We snapped a shot of it and then it landed on an old television set before finally flying off.
5. While out shooting fall scenes a couple of weeks ago I captured this shot of our Blue Mountains with freshly fallen snow on them. Oh how I dread winter but it sure looks pretty here.
Bonus photo: Had to share this big spider scene that is right across the street from where we live.
In closing a musical selection for the season. Neil Young - Harvest Moon.
Joining Jesh today for SEASONS - It's Halloween here in the USA so it's the season for "spooktacular" fun.
Lots of fun and semi-scary stuff here today.

My mom spotted these two while we were on a drive.
I like this pumpkin man - He's not to spooky.
These people put up quite a display in their yard. This is just a small portion of their decorations.
Dracula was in the same yard as the Pumpkin man. - I love his sign.
This bicycle is so funny. There is a skelton rider, his skeleton dog and on his shoulder a skelton parrot. - Same house as the people with the scary skull featured earlier.
Lots of people were displaying stuff on their doors. This one is a bit creepy.
Loved these cute little Halloween dogs.
Lots of ghosts & ghouls were hanging in trees. - This is one of them.
A fun display of pumpkins we spotted.
A buzzard keeping watch on everything. Convereted to BW for a creepier effect.
Another Door find.
These people had several of these blow-ups in their yard. I just shared the Harley rider.
Large Spiders on houses are also fun.
Finally a few webs and skulls to top off this Halloween Post.
It's almost Halloween and around here a lot of people love to decorate their yards for the holiday.
Spotted this fence on the way to the Bowling Alley this week.
The fence was handmade and looks super realistic. Almost like rusty metal.
The grasses in the background and the tombstone in the yard add to the spooky fun.
Loving the skulls on the fence posts.
Also this week I've been doing a challenge on Facebook where you post 1 Black and White Photo of your daily life. No Humans, No Explanations. This was yesterday's photo.
